I am almost a week behind, but my little man is 2 months old today! The answer to the question of whether he will be the baby of our family is TBD. He may be our last, he may not. We honestly are not sure yet. One thing I do know is that he is our baby at least for now and just in case he is our last, I am going to enjoy every minute and soak up every little thing about him. Weston has not been my easiest or my hardest baby. He is a good in between. Sweet most of the time, but doesn’t sleep as good as Sophie did. Eats really well, is only fussy when it is really loud (bless his heart, that is a lot of the time around here) and loves to be held and cuddled. I don’t mind that one little bit.
Southern Snow
We have finally experienced our first winter weather of the season this week and it has been so nice. While Fall is still my favorite season, I do like it when the colder weather arrives. It is a huge relief to us southern folks down here. I like that it finally felt like winter for the first time. I was able to break out my sweaters and jackets and I have really enjoyed it. Earlier in the week, it was still pretty warm and I was able to get out in our common green space area with the kiddos after a few days of rain. If you have a toddler, you know that after a few days of rainy weather, they go nuts. They were so ready to get out of the house and just run – which is exactly what we did.

Finally in Our New Home
I realized over Thanksgiving that things have been so crazy and I haven’t even mentioned we are completely in our new home! We have absolutely loved it so far! We have great neighbors who have kids a few years older than Hamp and Sophie, but a couple of houses down, there are kids their age. All of the kids play great outside together and my kids have loved being right next to our neighborhood playground. It is so convenient and has been really wonderful. We are still unpacking and honestly, probably will be for a while, but the downstairs is pretty much put together now and we are so looking forward to hosting people in our house again! That is probably the thing we have missed most over this last year.
Our First Outing as a Family of Five
Our first outing, like mosts peoples, was to the doctor. Hampton and Sophie both had checkups scheduled for today, so we were able to bring Weston for his newborn appointment as well. 3 babies + 3 checkups + 3 shots + no sleep = a lot of fun, let me tell you! When Sophie is tired, she tends to get really hyper and delirious. She was screaming and running all around the waiting room. Hampton was testing me big time, and Weston was okay. He cried a little bit, but for the most part, he did great! Ryan and I struggled because we have only been sleeping about 2 hours a night since coming home from the hospital. Mr. Weston has his days and nights mixed up, but we are working on changing that. We treated the kids to Chick fil A afterwards which made us all feel a little better.
Birthday Trip to the Zoo
We had every intention on throwing Hampton a birthday party this year, but with our move and the baby coming literally any day, we weren’t able to make it happen. I promised him that we would make it really special by taking him to lunch anywhere he wanted and to the zoo! It ended up being the perfect day to go to the zoo because it was so cool outside! The zoo was all decorated for Halloween which was another added bonus! The kids loved all of the pumpkins! Hampton was totally set on riding the rhinoceros… bless him.
My First Two Under Two Are Kicking My Tail
…It’s true. Even though Hampton is almost 3 now, our little nickname for our first two kids when they are acting like crazy people is “two under two.” The last few days, we have been going non-stop. I have officially hit “I’m about to have a baby and haven’t done anything to prepare” mode, and it happened to hit me about the same time that my kids outgrew all of their shoes, planning for Hampton’s birthday and a million other little things we have going on this week. Adding to our crazy, I have been due for an iPhone upgrade for 2 months now, but because our nearest Apple store keeps running out of phones, it took me until yesterday to actually get mine. We have been checking in every day to see if they had the gold iPhone, and they finally got it in the store, which meant a very last minute trip to Birmingham.

Tis’ the Season for Pumpkin Patches
One of my favorite traditions that I look forward to every year is going to pumpkin patches. Hampton loves it because there are big slides and inflatables as well as pig race,s a corn maze and all sorts of fun activities for the kids. This year was particularly fun because Sophie was equally as excited to slide and jump and pick out a pumpkin! She was a huge fan of the corn boxes, and Hampton, not so much. He just wanted to slide the entire time we were there. Definitely all boy. The weather here is still pretty warm, so it didn’t feel as fall-isa as I would have liked, but we may go to another pumpkin patch later when it cools off a bit more. Why not? I mean, tis’ the season…
Finally Fall Friday Favorites
The second morning in a row that I have been able to enjoy some fall weather! I am loving this! My little Sophie girl started throwing up yesterday afternoon, so today we are on the mend and praying so hard that none of us catch whatever it is that she and my parents have. I’m diffusing all the oils and drinking all the coffee so I can keep up with all the laundry. I had to wash her sheets multiple times yesterday and am seriously considering buying another cheap one today so that we have more sets when these things happen. For now, here are some of my fall-inspired Friday favorites!
Potty Training Tips and Advice From Mom Bloggers
The other day, I asked my followers on Instagram What their best potty training tips were and boy did they deliver! Some of it I had heard before, but a lot of it was new to me. Potty training can be so hard and frustrating, but one thing I have learned from others is that every child is different and learns at the own pace and in very different ways.
Potty Training Woes
Potty training Hamp has been a huge struggle. He has good days and bad days, but he is still far from being completely potty trained. With our third baby coming in 7 (or less) weeks, I am feeling a lot of pressure to get him potty trained so that we don’t have three in diapers. He will be 3 in late October, so I feel like we should really be farther along than we are and it has been extremely frustrating for both of us.
