I started this blog in 2012 wanting to basically share my latest book reviews and goings on in life. While I still share those things, my blog has really grown into something much greater than I had ever planned for. It has allowed me to stay home full time with my three babies while still earning an income. I have made so many friends with readers and other bloggers that I can’t imagine life without it anymore. It has become part of who I am. It is not a hobby, it is a lifestyle. One that I enjoy.
If you enjoy coffee, babies, books, fashion, food or fitness, you’ve come to the right place. I am a blessed mother to 3 under 3 and under who loves to share my latest fashion obsessions, and trends while being real and sharing my accomplishments and failures through this journey we call motherhood. Whether it is sharing how I lost my baby weight in under four months or my favorite shoes, I will remain a mother just the same as you.
A little about me:
I’m a 20-something newish mom living in Alabama. I’ve been married to my love – Ryan, for (almost) 6 years. We have a 3-year-old son, a 2-year old daughter and a six month old baby boy. We have one little 4lb. fur baby named “Pippa”. I graduated with a degree in psychology and have been a bookworm all my life. I worked for a web company for 4 years as their web content manager and social media extraordinaire ( I say sarcastically), but I quit my job just before I had my daughter to be a full-time mom and blogger. I grew up dancing until I was 23, although you can still find me dancing in the kitchen and down grocery store aisles. I have had a love for all things Parisian since my husband and I traveled to Paris on our honeymoon and we both love to travel but don’t do it as often as we would like to these days. Fashion is something that I am equally as passionate about. As a child, I carried around a portfolio of all my latest drawings of furniture and outfits I had put together. I love color and mixing patterns to create the perfect piece. Expressing myself through my style is one way I love to be creative. In another life, I would be a fashion designer or Blair Waldorf. I would describe my style as classy and southern. I love to dress up on special occasions and for church, but my style is mostly casual and comfortable so that I can easily chase my kids around. I am a big advocate of not compromising style for comfort, so I like to maintain a sense of style while being conscious of my daily activities.
My babies are my world. I am so thankful to be able to stay at home with them and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love sweet tea and dressing up in all things girly, but I also enjoy a good pair of yoga pants and t-shirt like any true SAHM. I am semi-frugal and a bit of a clean freak, but I am also a book hoarder and terrible drawer organizer. I love to decorate and get a little crafty, but only when the mood strikes. I have a weird obsession with Gilmore Girls and truly believe it could have been successful for another 10 seasons.
Please grab a cup of coffee and stay for a while.
