Our first outing, like mosts peoples, was to the doctor. Hampton and Sophie both had checkups scheduled for today, so we were able to bring Weston for his newborn appointment as well. 3 babies + 3 checkups + 3 shots + no sleep = a lot of fun, let me tell you! When Sophie is tired, she tends to get really hyper and delirious. She was screaming and running all around the waiting room. Hampton was testing me big time, and Weston was okay. He cried a little bit, but for the most part, he did great! Ryan and I struggled because we have only been sleeping about 2 hours a night since coming home from the hospital. Mr. Weston has his days and nights mixed up, but we are working on changing that. We treated the kids to Chick fil A afterwards which made us all feel a little better.
Our first week home has been anything but easy. Ryan and I do not run well on no sleep, so we have been struggling with patience and being able to get a lot done. Ryan had to work until 2a.m. on election night which also didn’t help. We are closing on our house today and are so excited about that! We are slowly moving in and I can’t wait to be completely in our own house again. To be honest, it all feels surreal right now. I am trying really hard not to think too much about it so that I don’t get overwhelmed. Moving right now seems absolutely insane, but we knew things would be crazy, and I have tried to mentally prepare for just that – crazy.
Wish us luck with the rest of the week and weekend as we move and continue to adjust to our new normal with three kids three and under! They are my whole world and now that Weston is here, I couldn’t imagine life without him. I feel very blessed…and a little stressed. 😉
Do you have big weekend plans?
