The other day, I asked my followers on Instagram What their best potty training tips were and boy did they deliver! Some of it I had heard before, but a lot of it was new to me. Potty training can be so hard and frustrating, but one thing I have learned from others is that every child is different and learns at the own pace and in very different ways.
Pumpkin Spice Makes Mama Nice
Just like Sophie’s shirt says, “Pumpkin Spice Makes Mama Nice.” When I came across this little tee, I fell in love with it! Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Starbucks, or even just the creamer sure do change a bad day around! This past weekend, my kids were very sick. Today, they are finally feeling better and acting more like themselves. Fist pump! We have had many sleepless nights these last few months, so I have been living off of coffee. Yes, even while pregnant. I know, I know, but I have been drinking a ton of water to offset the caffeine.

Potty Training Woes
Potty training Hamp has been a huge struggle. He has good days and bad days, but he is still far from being completely potty trained. With our third baby coming in 7 (or less) weeks, I am feeling a lot of pressure to get him potty trained so that we don’t have three in diapers. He will be 3 in late October, so I feel like we should really be farther along than we are and it has been extremely frustrating for both of us.
32 Weeks Pregnant
I am 32 weeks pregnant and struggling. This past week has been a hard one. I have been sick every day, but it worsened when I went to one of our local consignment sales on Saturday. It’s held in a basement with no air conditioning and people were packed in there like sardines. What us mothers will do for a bargain. Sigh. I was relieved to see I wasn’t the only one – and not the only pregnant woman, either – struggling down there, I got way too overheated. I almost didn’t make it back to my car, but luckily I had my mom with me who was able to help me get there without falling out. I have naturally low blood pressure, so fainting has occurred in my past, but I have never fainted while pregnant and really don’t want to.
How We Transitioned Our Babies to Solid Foods
There are so many changes and transitions that happen in baby’s first year. It can all be a little overwhelming, especially if you are a first-time parent. These transitions have gotten easier for me with our second child and I’m sure it will again with our third. I’m not sure if it’s easier, or I just know what to expect now, but either way, it has been an easier transition year with our Sophie. Gerber made it very easy for us to make the transition to solid foods with our babies.
What Essentials To Purchase For Your Third Baby

I am a third-time expectant mom – due in November! In case you haven’t noticed, we are roughly 2 months away from my due date. Yikes! I realized this fact over the weekend when I started having really strong braxton hicks contractions. You’ve got to love those! I had a moment of panic when I told Ryan that I had literally done nothing to prepare for this baby and we are getting so close to our due date and moving date. While it is true that you can reuse several things for second and third children, it is also important to purchase new essentials.
A Simple Remedy for Colic Babies
I received a free sample of [Gerber® Good Start® Soothe infant formula or Gerber Soothe® probiotic colic drops] from Gerber. My thoughts and opinions are by my own.
My oldest son had colic when he was 2 months old. It only lasted for 2 months, but it was the longest two months of my life. When I see or hear of a new mother struggling because she has a colicky baby, I feel so deeply for her. It is tough. It was one of the most trying times in my life. I’m not the type of person who can go no with life when I don’t get enough rest. I am the momster type if I don’t get any sleep and let’s just say that patience is not my strongest trait, either. Being in a position of not knowing why your baby is screaming for 9 hours straight is hard. Especially when you are exhausted, it’s 2a.m. and you have tried everything.

Sophie at 15 Months
Our sweet little Sophie girl is 15 months old! How is the time going by so quickly? She is a little firecracker and kills us with her sweet and silly personality. She is constantly making us laughing makes the funniest faces. She is running all over the place and into EVERYTHING. She is talking up a storm and try to repeat everything I say. Scary. She is definitely a little talker and has a whole lot of sass, but she is precious beyond words.
How I Have Peace of Mind With Three Kids Under Three

I have a 2-year old, a 1-year old, and am due with baby #3 in less than 3 months. That’s three kids under three. We are hoping this little guy will be born after big brother’s birthday, but who knows! To say I have my hands full is an understatement. Some days, I’m lucky to brush my teeth and hair before noon. It’s real life when you are chasing around two toddlers all day. I must admit that these two (soon to be three) little nuggets are my whole world. Having peace of mind as a mother is difficult because we are natural worriers, but I have recently had a little help with my parental anxieties.
Gender Reveal and 19 Weeks
This week has been a bit of a roller coaster. We went to the doctor last Friday to find out the gender of our baby – or rather, have it confirmed. Confession: Ryan and I found out while we were in Florida, but because I was only 16 weeks, I wanted to have it confirmed before announcing it. While at the doctor, I also found out I have complete Placenta Previa with this pregnancy. Sigh. This means that if it does not resolve itself by the end of my pregnancy, I will have to have a c-section. I will also more than likely have to be on bed rest for a little while at some point and am at a high risk for pre-term labor. Not something you ever want to hear.
