As an expecting mom for the 4th time, I thought it would be fun to put together a gift guide for my fellow new and expecting moms! This is such a fun and special time but can also be difficult, emotional and stressful. I know, I get it. Of course, I think the number one gift most new moms want is the gift of free babysitting, a nap, or a cleaning lady. Am I right? BUT, if you aren’t into those types of gifts, I have put together a great list of gift ideas that I own and love or things that are currently on my wishlist that any and every mom would love!
Delicious On the Go Breakfast for Mom
Our mornings are about to get a little bit busier when school starts next week. Hamp will start 3K and Sophie will start 2K. That means getting back on a schedule and not as much time in the mornings to get things done around the house. One of the first things I tend to cut out when we are in a hurry and on the go is my breakfast. I make sure the kids are dressed and fed and backpacks and lunch boxes are full, but I normally throw on something easy and skip breakfast. I have already started stocking up on on-the-go breakfasts for the next couple of weeks because I am determined to take a little better care of myself this year.
My Spring Cleaning Mom Hack
I received the bObi Pet in exchange for an honest review. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
Raise your hand if you have been spring cleaning! Raise your hand if you have a toddler (or two) who make messes faster than you can clean them? Right here! Lately, it has been a struggle to keep our house clean. Before kids, it was spotless. Now? Some days, I don’t know why I even try to clean it. But the truth is I have a hard time functioning in a big mess. When our house is a wreck, I can’t write, think, or do anything. I blame it on my slight O.C.D.

It’s the season for Holiday Gift Guides and I am having way too much fun searching online for the best gift ideas for everyone. This year, I have been looking for baby, toddlers, women, men and now more specifically, the new mom in your life. I just had a baby 4 weeks ago (how has it already ben 4 weeks?) and I have so many friends and cousins who just had babies or are currently pregnant, so I have new moms on the brain.
What’s In My Hospital Bag The Third Time Around
By some major miracle, I finally finished packing my hospital bag. Even though I will be having this baby literally any day now, I have been putting it off. I think part of me just really doesn’t feel as concerned as I have in the past about making sure I have anything and everything I MIGHT need. I am only taking the essentials this time because I tend to overpack and have taken way too much stuff the last two times. In all honesty, other than toiletries and clothes, the hospital provides so many of the essentials that you really don’t have to take much unless you just want to. However, I am all about feeling comfortable and as “at home” as possible, so I do like to include a couple of personal touches to keep me sane.
Third Trimester Essentials
I welcomed my third trimester with open arms two weeks ago! I am 30 weeks along butĀ feeling more like I’m 35. The aches and pains have been in full force this week and I am definitely starting to feel more uncomfortable. I’m actually measuring smaller than I was with both my other pregnancies which is great, but the ligament pain has been so bad this week that I haven’t been able to workout like I normally do. So I hope that I don’t gain 15 pounds these last 2 months. The third trimester. A time when leg cramps wake you up at ungodly hours, your heartburn is that of an 80 year old man, you gain a lot of weight in a very small amount of time, you have a baby kicking you in the ribs at all hours of the day (and night) and everyone is telling you to enjoy the sleep while you can when you are secretly thinking that you haven’t slept in months already since “pregnancy brain.”
I’m feeling all of these symptoms and more, but I know that it will soon be over and I will miss this growing bump that my little boy and I have shared for the past few months.
It’s hard to believe this is my third time around, but here we are! I’m not sure if this is my last or not and I am not wanting to make any decisions about that any time soon. I am trying to enjoy every second of this pregnancy in case it is my last, but it has been challenging as it has been my toughest pregnancy by far.
Mommin’ Around Town Outfit And A Custom Bag
Now that my baby bump is getting bigger and bigger these days and the weather seems to be set on one temperature – HOT – I have found it easiest to wear cool and comfy dresses. Maternity and non-maternity dresses are wonderful. I’ve been trying to stick to non-maternity as much as possible so that I can wear it post-baby as well, but I found this adorable dress (similar) at Target in the maternity section, and who doesn’t love and need a good striped dress? I loved this one almost as much as I loved the price tag. Tar-jay for the win! You see what else I’ve been carrying around town? This custom bag by Rebekah Scott Designs was designed by yours truly and I love it so much!
How I Have Peace of Mind With Three Kids Under Three

I have a 2-year old, a 1-year old, and am due with baby #3 in less than 3 months. That’s three kids under three. We are hoping this little guy will be born after big brother’s birthday, but who knows! To say I have my hands full is an understatement. Some days, I’m lucky to brush my teeth and hair before noon. It’s real life when you are chasing around two toddlers all day. I must admit that these two (soon to be three) little nuggets are my whole world. Having peace of mind as a mother is difficult because we are natural worriers, but I have recently had a little help with my parental anxieties.
Postpartum Essentials and How to Prepare for After Birth

As most of you know by now, we are expecting baby #3 the first week of November! As the days tick speedily by, I have started to feel the need to prepare for our new little arrival. Because we are in a weird situation this go around – living at my parents house while our home is being built (expected to be complete by November 1st) – getting ready for our little guy is a little bit more tricky. We will likely move the week he is due or immediately after I have him. So, the only way I know how to really prepare is by stocking up on the essentials. With my first baby, I was completely focused on the his nursery and other essentialsĀ that I forgot all about postpartum essentials for myself.
Second Trimester Must Haves
It’s really hard to believe that I am closer to the third trimester with my third baby. Some days, I still feel like I am getting over the shock of being pregnant again, and others I find myself dreaming of our little guys face and wishing time would speed up so I can finally meet him and yes, not be pregnant anymore. While I loved being pregnant my first and second time around, this one has been very different and a lot harder on my body. #3in3years Probably has something to do with that. ;/… So, now that I’m feeling like I’m a seasoned pro, here are some of my must haves for the second trimester!
