It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Target just released their Christmas decor and it is so good! You guys know how much I love fall, but I also love the holidays. Growing up, my mom always made the holidays so special for us and the season was full of traditions. Ryan and I have created our own traditions with our four children that we look forward to every year, now. One of them is decorating on November 1st. I know this is a “no-no” for some, but the way I look at it is, I do not host Thanksgiving and I like to enjoy the Christmas decor for more that one month (or less than) because it is a lot of work. haha
I rounded up some of my favorites from this year’s Target Christmas decor (above). I love that they included a mixture of modern, traditional and vintage this year.
For me, men are the hardest to buy for. Let’s be honest, they know what they like and absolutely don’t like. haha I like to buy our dads and Ryan gifts that go along with their current hobbies so that I know the gift will be a winner. For example, Ryan loves to golf, so anything golf related is perfect for him and makes him excited. I also love to buy him a new pullover or jacket each year to add to his wardrobe and freshen his closet a little because he doesn’t typically buy clothes for himself very often. Think about what your husband or dad loves to do and then go from there. Here are some gift ideas for men!
I can’t believe the holiday season is here! I am so excited to bring you my gift guide for kids today! Let’s be honest, keeping the magic of the season alive and choosing the perfect gift for our kids is the best part of Christmas shopping, am I right? It’s always worth it to see their faces light up on Christmas morning or to see them feel so happy when they give a perfect give to a child in need. Kids are so fun to shop for.
Be sure to check back here because I will add to this guide as I find new things throughout the season. Also, be sure to follow along in the LTK app because I have already been posting exclusive holiday content and gift ideas there. Now, let’s get to the shopping fun!
It is officially my favorite time of year! Football has started, PSLs are back and pumpkins are everywhere! I have already started decorating for my favorite season (see IG stories today) but I am so excited to add to it and grab a few of these pieces and PUMPKINS! I went through a couple of my favorite retailers for home decor and linked some really affordable options if you are on a tight budget like I am! I also hit up Hobby Lobby which I can not link to, so check stories for the goodies I grabbed so that you can check your store for the same things if interested. Here are my favorite and affordable fall decor options:
Happy almost 4th of July! It is one of my favorite times of the year because for me, the 4th of July means family, good food, good friends and lots of swimming! Quality time is my love language, so I am all about it! 4th of July Sales are also some of the very best all year, so I am excited to round up some of the best for y’all today! Thank you for shopping through my links and helping to support this blog! It truly means the world to me.
I love Easter! Celebrating Christ’s risen is something I try to focus on all year, but this day in particular is always so special. I also love the idea of Easter baskets and playing the Easter bunny with my kids. Seeing their little faces light up is so sweet and special. I normally like to try and stick with a theme, but this year I am adding a few essentials that my kids need along with things like chalk, new crayons, etc. They each need different things, so they will be getting a good mixture of outdoor things, art supplies and essentials. I’m breaking down my Easter basket ideas for you below:
As an expecting mom for the 4th time, I thought it would be fun to put together a gift guide for my fellow new and expecting moms! This is such a fun and special time but can also be difficult, emotional and stressful. I know, I get it. Of course, I think the number one gift most new moms want is the gift of free babysitting, a nap, or a cleaning lady. Am I right? BUT, if you aren’t into those types of gifts, I have put together a great list of gift ideas that I own and love or things that are currently on my wishlist that any and every mom would love!
Stocking stuffers are possibly my favorite gifts to buy for Christmas! I love to get random but useful things for my family, or sneak big (little) surprises into their stockings so that just when they things they are finished opening gifts, there is still a big surprise waiting for them. I am sharing ideas for the entire family below, but be sure to check back because I am always finding more and adding to these guides! I hope you find some great goodies for the people you love most!
When I asked who you guys have the hardest time shopping for, the men by far took the lead. I hear you, because I always have a harder time with the men. For example, every year, I ask Ryan what he wants for Christmas and I always get the same response: “I don’t know. I don’t really need anything.” Which is true and I am thankful for that, but still. It makes it so hard to shop for him and all the other men in my life. This year, I found some really great options – all approved by Ryan! Most are affordable and available via prime or free shipping which is a huge bonus if you are like me and hate paying for shipping. I hope this year’s gift guide for men is helpful. Be sure to check back as I will always be adding things as I see them!
Something Ryan and I try to do every day is start our day with prayer and gratitude. It is amazing how different things can look when you start the day being grateful for what you have than looking at Instagram at everything you don’t have. Can I get an Amen? When you really look around you, you start to see how truly blessed you are. I think it is even more important this time of year when we are being bombarded with wish lists, kids begging for every toy they see on TV, etc. We decided we needed to do something to help instill this discipline in our children. Hence, the Thanksgiving Prayer Jar!
