I am officially 18 weeks pregnant with baby #3! This is an exciting week for us as we are going to the doctor tomorrow to find out the gender of our sweet little blessing and check up on him/her! Confession: I mayyy already have a pretty good idea what the baby is. 😉 However, I will feel a lot better about announcing it once it is confirmed again tomorrow. This pregnancy has been so weird. I have been more sick this time around than with my first two and I have craved salty things (like I did with Sophie) but it wasn’t until I really popped out a couple of weeks ago that I knew. I also found out that my uterus is tilted forward again like it was with Hamp, meaning I will look about 5 weeks ahead of what I actually am. Again. haha I’ve already heard “you’re only 18 weeks pregnant?” but, it is okay. As long as my little one is growing and healthy, I am happy!

Tips to Transition Your Toddler From A Bottle
My son was so easy to transition from formula and a bottle. One day I put milk in his bottle and he acted like he didn’t even notice. The next week I put it in a sippy cup and again, he acted like he didn’t notice. I was shocked because so many people had warned me of the ordeal that was transitioning from bottle to sippy cup and from formula or breast milk to milk. Going through it again now with Sophie is completely different. She yells and crys until she gets her bottle every night. She will not go to sleep unless she gets it and she refuses to drink it if it’s regular milk. She has been a lot tougher to break of these habits. She does great with a sippy, but when it comes for bedtime, she wants that bottle.
Finger Lickin’ Good Gluten Free Sweet Snack Mix
Our household is a big fan of snack mixes and trail mixes because we spend half of our life in the car (and I know I don’t know alf of it yet) and these make-ahead snacks are so easy to pack and go! I love experimenting and making different mixes using different things and I try to be healthy when I can. I love using dried fruits and often times chocolate, but I since General Mills cereals have gone Gluten Free, I was inspired to make a gluten free sweet snack mix!
Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale Picks
I love Nordstrom, but a lot of times, I don’t love their prices. The is why I love this wonderful time of year when they decide to have their Nordstrom half-yearly sale! Out with the old and in wth the new! I love to score some great pieces during their sales. Below I am sharing a few of my favorite clothes and accessories. Most of my picks are accessories this year. I doubt I will be buying many clothes over the next few months, but I am going to have a hard time saying no to some of these shoes and bags! I. Want. Them. All.
Memorial Day Weekend
This Memorial Day weekend was a special one! We spent the entire long weekend (and then some, because we are still here) with my grandparents and family in Florida. We have been here for 5 days and are going to be sad to go back home tomorrow. I could get used to going to the beach and pool every day! We were able to spend Memorial Day with our favorite Navy vet – my grandfather which was special. He told us old Navy stories and we ate tons of great food and laughed – a lot.
What’s In My Toddler’s Diaper Bag
I have two toddlers (a two year old and one year old) and they are both still in diapers/pull-ups. I have tried to not carry a diaper bag around with me, but with two young-ins, it’s just not realistic yet. I have a hard time fitting my things – along with diapers, wipes, creams, medicines, toys, sippy cups, etc. into an oversized purse. My toddler’s diaper bag is also a backpack, so it is a lot easier to carry it around with me.
Favorite Free Fitness Resources You Can Do At Home
I am a firm believer in not ever paying for a gym membership. If you have the opportunity to workout in a hotel’s gym or your apartment complex has a gym included, I say go for it! I have taken advantage of our free gym at our church’s life center in the past and love to workout in gyms when we are traveling, but I will not ever pay for one. Why should you when there are so many amazing free fitness resources out there that you can do from the convenience of your own home? For this momma, it isn’t realistic to drive to a gym every day and, I know a lot of other mother’s feel the same way. It is so much easier and more doable to workout during nap time in your home or to jog around the neighborhood pushing your littles in the stroller (talk about a great workout!).
16 Weeks Pregnant
I can’t believe I am already 16 weeks pregnant! Little baby is growing along nicely as you can see! I have definitely popped these last couple of weeks. My stomach went from flat and easy to hide to POP and I basically had to tell everyone because it was getting so obvious. The news of this little angel absolutely knocked me off my feet. This pregnancy has been so weird and different than my other two. I didn’t find out I was pregnant until I was 7 weeks along and didn’t go to the doctor for the first time until I was 10 weeks. I have been very sick, but that has slowed up a little bit in the last couple of weeks. I’m hoping it will move on completely soon. To say we have been shocked about this pregnancy is an understatement. I’m not getting into logistics here, but even my doctor said “God must have really wanted you to have a baby right now.”
Kid-Friendly Frozen Pink Lemonade Recipe
I have always loved to spend most of my time outdoors. We grew up in a house (that my family and I are currently living in) that has a huge back porch across the back of the house. We love to sit out there and swing year round and enjoy the beauty of God’s nature and the hilariously terrible golf swings of the golfers behind our year to hit their golf balls into our pool all too often (which is far right to where they should be hitting them). It started getting unseasonably warm in March this year. Some years it snows in April and others it is already in the 90’s. I feel like it has been summer here for a month now, and we have loved enjoying time outside watching the kids play. Today during snack time/ play time, I made a delicious batch of frozen pink lemonade. I was in the mood for something different than my usual water or sweet tea, so I got in the kitchen and went to work.
A Fun in the Sun Kind of Weekend
First off, thank you so much for all of your love on last week’s post! We are getting so excited to welcome baby #3 and I honestly can’t believe I am already almost 16 weeks along! I am extremely happy to have kissed that first trimester goodbye because it was a doozy this time around. I’ve loved reading all of your comments throughout the weekend and it was so encouraging and sweet! Also, thank you for the car recommendations! 😉
