I am a firm believer in not ever paying for a gym membership. If you have the opportunity to workout in a hotel’s gym or your apartment complex has a gym included, I say go for it! I have taken advantage of our free gym at our church’s life center in the past and love to workout in gyms when we are traveling, but I will not ever pay for one. Why should you when there are so many amazing free fitness resources out there that you can do from the convenience of your own home? For this momma, it isn’t realistic to drive to a gym every day and, I know a lot of other mother’s feel the same way. It is so much easier and more doable to workout during nap time in your home or to jog around the neighborhood pushing your littles in the stroller (talk about a great workout!).
Favorite Free Fitness Resources:
I’ve not been quiet on the blog about my favorite free fitness resource: Tone It Up! I love these girls and even more so, I love the community that they have created. I have been following their workout schedule since right after I had Hampton and I lost my baby weight pretty quickly after – thanks to them. I am currently participating in their Bikini Series that is 8 weeks long and we are close to the end of week 5, now. Let me just say, I feel amazing and stronger than ever and that is at 16 weeks pregnant! While my belly is growing, nothing else has (yet) and I actually feel more toned and have so much more energy since starting this series nearly 5 weeks ago. I HIGHLY recommend checking them out and signing up for their weekly emails where you will be sent a fitness schedule every Sunday with free workouts from their website.
It amazes me how many people post great workouts on Pinterest. It may be a checklist or video (I’ve done many of both) but this is a great way to find workouts for free! I use Pinterest like I do Google, so I love to type in “ab workouts” or “thigh slimming workouts” to find exercises that target certain areas.
#NoExcuses (Taylor from Pink Heels Pink Truck)
I have known Taylor through blogging for several years now since we both got started. We have since changed our blog’s names, but I have really enjoyed following her and she has become very successful. I love her #NoExcuses workouts. They are great for when you don’t have a lot of time to dedicate to working out or are in a hurry and they definitely do the trick and get your heart pumping.
Hit the Pavement
I can’t leave this one out even though it is pretty obvious. I love to get outside and enjoy nature. Whether it is running, walking, or playing outside with my little ones, hitting the pavement is one of my favorite ways to burn tons of calories and get my sweat on.
What is your favorite way to sweat?

Yoga apps! Who’da thunk there are apps with yoga, but there totally are and they’re kind of great, ha! And I just recently started a “program” from a lady on YouTube named Adriene called “Yoga Camp” and it’s great.
We have a small rec center in out apartment complex, and having access to a treadmill is nice – but we’re moving soon and I will miss it, ha!

I will have to check out that Yoga Camp! I love doing yoga – especially now that I am pregnant and can’t do as much.

These are great! I actually got really lucky at my last Crop and won a fitness kit door prize (which I’m loving) but these would be great for mixing it up sometimes! Thanks for sharing with us at Merry Monday this week!
