We had such a fun 4th of July this year. Our whole family got together and it was so fun to see and hang out with all of our cousins. We went to the parade, swam at my parent’s house, ate some delicious food and then watched fireworks! It was the perfect 4th of July with my favorite people! My kids went straight through nap time and dropped by the end of the night. To me, that’s a sign of a good day. I hope you guys had a great 4th! Here are some photos from our day:
4th of July Sales + Friday Five
Happy Friday, friends! We have finally made it to the weekend! Anyone else doing a little dance? We have a fun weekend planned with the kids and have been so looking forward to the weekend. My car is finally fixed, VBS was a major success (and so much fun) and we are feeling blessed. You know what? I was super negative about my car situation earlier this week, but I am so thankful that we had the funds set aside to pay for it. That was a big blessing this week and I am so thankful for that. And now, we can get on with our weekend plans and some awesome sales! First, I wanted to share a Friday Five since I wasn’t able to last week (thank you guys for giving my sponsored post some love last week) and then I will jump into the 4th of July sales.
Friday Five:
ONE. One of you requested I share five outfits, so I thought I would start with that! I shared some of this past week’s outfits in this post earlier in the week, but here are two more that would be really cute for the 4th of July or an everyday summer outfit!
Five on Friday
I’m going to do my Five on Friday posts a little differently. Instead of sharing 5 things I’m loving, I’m going to share 5 things in different categories that YOU guys want to see, so send me any and all question or categories you would like to see featured in my Friday Posts! It can be anything from books to fashion, to what I’m buying that month or kids favorites. Today, I’ll be sharing 5 sales and 5 new things that I’m loving!
Dress // Sandals // Sophie’s Jumpsuit

I haven’t done a good Friday round-up in a while, so I thought it would be fun to highlight a few things today that I am currently loving/excited for. There are a few things on sale right now that are awesome and you definitely need to know about it, so here we go!

Friday Favorites and POPSUGAR Must Have Box
Good morning and happy Friday! I love a short week after a holiday, don’t you? It has been really tough getting back into the swing of things this week, so I’m hoping I can get my act together this weekend! Although, we are going on vacation again this week, so who knows? I am really excited for the weekend and hopefully catching up on laundry and cleaning up after a crazy week so that we can go out of town again! Until then, here are some Friday Favorites and my June POPSUGAR Must Have Box review:
ONE.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale begins THURSDAY!! Eeekk! If you aren’t already a cardholder or don’t have a clue what I’m talking about, read this post and apply for one TODAY because it’s the last day to get it in time for this year’s sale! I have been pouring over the catalogue and am already picking out some pieces for fall! I can’t. wait. We will actually be in Jacksonville for the first day of the early access sale, and I will definitely do a little try on session for y’all on Insta-stories so be sure to follow along on Instagram if you aren’t already!
TWO.
Aveda sent me some products this week and I have been using the Be Curly like crazy! I have loved it because it doesn’t made my hair hard- like some gels do, and it isn’t too sticky. It is great for days that I want to give my hair a break from the heat.
THREE.
One of my best friends moved to NYC last year and she came over for a visit yesterday! We had so much fun! She also has three kids three and under (in NYC!! Supermom!). I really enjoyed catching up with her. It’s great having a friend who 100% gets what you’re going through. haha
FOUR.
You may notice my tabs changing over the weekend. I am excited to change things up a bit and hopefully help you guys find things a lot easier! I will give you a little tour once I’m finished on my Insta-Stories, so be on the lookout!
FIVE. (I was sent this box to review. Get $5 with code SHOP5)
My POPSUGAR Must Have box came in the mail this week! It was such a good one, and I swear, it’s like they know when I am going on vacation. I will be loading up this box to take with me to the beach the week. Here are the items in the June POPSUGAR Must Have Box:
Captain Blankenship Mermaid Sea Salt Hair Spray // Aloha Collection Mid-size Ocean Coco Palms Pouch // Starbucks Frappuccino Coffee Drink // Belgian Boys Mini Cookie Stash // Billabong Aloha Trucker Hat // NCLA So Rich – Mermaid Tears (cuticle oil) // The Seven Husband’s of Evelyn Hugo Novel // MERI MERI Blue and White Party Straws
Top (my favorite right now)
Seriously, it’s like a beach vacay in a box. I am in love with the hat! It is so adorable and perfect for the summertime. I am also excited to take the wet bag with me to the beach and to leave it in my pool bag at home! I know we will get a lot of use out of it. I am really excited to try the sea salt spray because y’all know how crazy my hair can be – especially in the salty air.
As I prepare for the Nordstrom Sale, I want to know what you guys want to see! Round ups? Styled posts? Holiday gift guides, beauty products? Let me know and I’ll add it to my calendar! Have a great weekend!

I’ve been spending a little bit of time trying to get ahead on my blogging – scheduling posts and social media for the next couple of weeks. It is HARD to get ahead. How do you do it? Do you set aside time to schedule and write every day? What works for you?

38 Weeks Pregnant + F I V E
O N E.
I will be 38 weeks pregnant tomorrow! We are officially in the home stretch! I had a great check-up this week! Baby SR is already 7lbs. and has lots of hair just like her brother! She also has little rolls on her thighs! Ah, I died! She is head down and ready to go! My Doctor told me it could literally be any day.I wouldn’t hate it if she came on. I’m still feeling pretty good, just large and getting to that uncomfortable point. Although, I feel a million times better this time than I did with H. I’m thankful for that. Be sure to follow me on Instagram for baby updates!

My awesome MIL texted me this week and offered to keep H for us tonight so that Ryan and I can go on a date and enjoy a night to ourselves before SR arrives! I am SO excited! Ryan has been super busy this past month and I feel like I’ve hardly seen him. We definitely could use this time alone right about now. I’m also excited to hopefully get a little bit of uninterrupted cleaning done. It’s going to be a great weekend!

Last weekend, we took Hampton to see Thomas the Train. We rode him and met Sir Topham Hatt! It was a huge deal to my little boy who is absolutely in love with Thomas. I almost cried when he saw him for the first time. His little face lit up and he was so happy! Later that day, Hampton started looking awful. His eyes were swollen and he broke out in a rash. I thought he was having an allergic reaction to something, but it turns out he had Roseola virus. He has also been battling a double ear infection. I ran him to the Doctor and we found out the antibiotic he had been on was not even working. It was pitiful. Needless to say, we have spent most of our week inside resting. My little man is finally acting better and his rash has cleared up. I’m so ready to have my crazy little toddler back! 🙁

Yesterday, I shared my new diaper bag with a checklist of what to put in it for the new baby! Also, don’t forget to enter to win a onesie from TuTu Sweet in Pink Boutique! They are SO cute!
What are you up to this weekend?
37 Weeks Pregnant + My Five
ONE.
First of all, thank you all so much for your support, encouragement and advice on this post the other day. It was overwhelming and so encouraging and reassuring to read your comments on your experience with having a second child. It definitely made me feel better to write what has been on my heart the last few weeks and to share my fears with you. I never imagined you would all be so supportive. THAT is why I blog. I love you guys!
TWO.
I will be 37 weeks pregnant tomorrow. Full term, y’all! I can’t believe how fast this pregnancy has been. I’m feeling pretty good minus the normal aches and pains that come with the end of pregnancy. I won’t go into detail, but you know… I’m definitely ready to have her now. I’m ready to see what she looks like! I will be sharing more photos of her nursery very soon! I basically used all of Hampton’s nursery furniture and just added in a little pink. 🙂 I am looking very forward to my Doctor appointment next week because we are having an ultrasound to measure baby girl and talk about possibly inducing. While I had a positive experience being induced with Hamp, I haven’t totally decided if I want to be induced again. I’ll keep you all posted as best I can, but for more updates, follow my Instagram!
THREE.
Mother’s Day is coming up in one month from today! Have you thought about what you’re getting your mom? I shared a fun idea for a gift basket for all new mother’s in your life yesterday! Be sure to check it out!
FOUR.
We are taking Hampton to see and ride Thomas the Train tomorrow! I can’t wait!! He will be so excited and I can’t wait to see his little face! Let’s just pray I don’t go into labor while on that train ride. It could happen…
FIVE.
I officially have an Etsy addiction. It’s bad. You will see that more and more in the coming weeks. I have a few exciting giveaways coming up and so definitely check back in! Especially if you or someone you know is having a baby girl!
What is your favorite Etsy shop for a baby girl? What do you have planned this weekend?
