Happy Friday, friends! We have finally made it to the weekend! Anyone else doing a little dance? We have a fun weekend planned with the kids and have been so looking forward to the weekend. My car is finally fixed, VBS was a major success (and so much fun) and we are feeling blessed. You know what? I was super negative about my car situation earlier this week, but I am so thankful that we had the funds set aside to pay for it. That was a big blessing this week and I am so thankful for that. And now, we can get on with our weekend plans and some awesome sales! First, I wanted to share a Friday Five since I wasn’t able to last week (thank you guys for giving my sponsored post some love last week) and then I will jump into the 4th of July sales.
Friday Five:
ONE. One of you requested I share five outfits, so I thought I would start with that! I shared some of this past week’s outfits in this post earlier in the week, but here are two more that would be really cute for the 4th of July or an everyday summer outfit!
Top // Shorts // Sandals // Sunglasses // Bandana // Sophie’s Jumpsuit // Sophie’s Sandals // Sunnies
Top // Shorts ($8 today) // Ring
TWO. The new Emily Giffin book came out this week and I am beyond pumped to read it! It is a story about the effects of social media on a young person and my psych-nerd self is wigging out over reading it! Here are 4 other books to read this summer that I loved!
THREE. Five natural beauty products I’m loving: Native Deodorant: I tried other natural deodorants before this one that were a no-go for me. this one is awesome! I love the coconut scent because it smells and feels clean and moisturizing. Mad Hippie face wash, Burt’s Bees Sunscreen, Raw Sugar soaps and shampoos and COOLA sunscreen are the other “mostly” natural products we use. I have been doing a lot of research on natural beauty products, however, my bank account does not approve of most of them that are truly “natural.” If you have tried any natural beauty products you swear by, tell us in the comments!
FOUR. I wanted to share 5 verses and quotes with you as we end our week because sometimes, #MOMLIFE is hard and we need to be reminded that it is okay to have “off days” and that no one is perfect. No family is perfect. Plans change or fall through, life happens and you have to adjust and move on. That’s okay.
“but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” – Isaiah 40:31
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
“I may hover around 70 or 80 percent success with a 20 or 30 percent failure rate, but, if that’s enough to win the White House, that’s enough for me.” – Of Mess and Moxie
“The best thing you can spend on your kids is time.” – Arnold Glasow
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1
FIVE. There are actually way more than 5 sales going on, but I thought I would share all the 4th of July sales with y’all today. Some of them started yesterday and as I see more, I will add to this post, so keep checking back!
