We are officially ONE week away from the first early access day of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Who’s excited? I have been getting tons of questions on IG and my IRL friends about Nordstrom lately, so I thought now would be a great time to answer them!
I was pregnant last year during the sale, but snagged these pieces to give you an idea. I loved styling some flowy fall dresses and blouses. I purchased the dress, utility jacket, bag, hat, white tee, scarf, booties and maroon blouse all at the sale last year. I got them for steals! Looking back at these photos is getting me all kinds of excited!
Why do I shop at Nordstrom?
I love shopping there because they have a wide variety. They do have designer brands, but also have very affordable brands that I love to shop for trendy pieces. They also always have free shipping and free returns. This means you do not lose any money when you make a return like you do basically every where else you shop. If I am not sure about a size, I can order two sizes and ship one back for free. It is really nice. I also love to shop this time of year because of the amazing sale!
When is the sale?
July 13th – 21st is early access. The sale is open to the public beginning the 21st – August 6th! If you aren’t a cardholder yet, apply here by July 9th to shop the early access days!
What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
The #nsale is where Nordstrom puts all of their brand new fall styles for the year on sale up to 40% off! Instead of putting their stuff on sale at the end of the season like most stores, they put their new fall and winter styles on sale at the beginning. You can snag brands like Tory Burch and Rebecca Minkoff for up to 40% off. I also love to stock up on basics like jeans and basic tees during the sale as well as get started on a little Christmas shopping.
What is early Access?
Early Access begins one week before the sale is open to the public. This is where Nordstrom cardholders are able to shop the sale before anyone else. I became a cardholder before the sale last year and have not looked back. I love it because every 2,000 points, you receive a $20 Nordstrom note in the mail to spend. I like to save them for the sale! I also loved shopping the early access days last year because the year before, they sold out of the boots I wanted before the sale even opened to the public. It was a huge disappointment and I did not want that to happen again.
Strategy for shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale:
- I recommend applying for a Nordstrom debit card now! When you apply for one, they send you a $20 note in the mail that you can use to shop with. The card works just like the Target redcard. It comes right out of your debit account and you receive points every time you shop. You can apply for one here.
- Shop the first of the early access days so things don’t sell out.
- If you aren’t sure about a size, order two. They have free returns, but they also sell out of their new products really fast, so it’s better to be safe than sorry.
The catalogue was released last week and it has be very excited! Catch a sneak peek of the fall line here.
I will be shopping in-store and online this year and will be showing you guys my favorites. Get ready for some shopping posts later next week!
