Is anyone else super last minute with their Easter baskets this year? Thank goodness for Amazon Prime! Am I right? Whatever did we do before it? I’m sharing a few things that I ordered for my littles that are really great things to put in any young kid’s basket. They are pretty much my “easter basket staples” every year. In addition to these, I add one or two of my kid’s favorite snacks and one or two things they need (like a sippy cup, pacifiers, socks, underwear, tees, etc.) It makes a pretty good basket. Plus, it really doesn’t take much to please kids. Bubbles alone would do the trick for my babies.

Book Review: First Comes Love by Emily Giffin
You guys voted to see more book reviews again and I am PUMPED to share this one by Emily Giffin with y’all today! I have been making more of an effort to read again (and not binge watch Netflix as much), so here we are! My first book review of the year! I have no idea how often these will come around, but once I finish a book, I will review it! Personally, I love reading book reviews and getting other people’s book recommendations, so I hope that you find these helpful. FYI, I love chick lit and that is what I tend to read the most, but I also love historical fiction, mystery, classic novels and self-help (ish) type books, so that is what you will find here. No Tweeny/ YA books over here. I am sort of over them…unless J.K. ever decides to write another Harry Potter, then I’ll be all over it!

What 1-in-3 Families Need
One in three families struggle to provide diapers for their baby. One in three. Is that staggering to you? That number is so high and heartbreaking to me. In fact, I had to read it again and again for it to really register with me just how many people have a hard time fulfilling this need. For me, it has been a no-brainer for over 4 years now. We go to the store and diapers are always on our list. We pick them up as easy as we pick up bread or milk at the store. I don’t even put a lot of thought into it because it is just one of those things we have to buy. It is so sad that so many families struggle to afford their baby’s diapers. You may be asking, “what can I do to help?” That’s where Walgreens and Huggies® comes in!
6 Verses to Read to Your Child Struggling with Fear
It is very normal for children to experience fears. It is a part of life for everyone. Do you remember being afraid of the dark, or storms when you were a kid? I was afraid of both, but now I love storms. Funny how that happens…one minute it is a major fear and the next, you have faced and embraced it without even realizing it happened.
Both of my older kids have had issues with fear around the age of two. After a lot of research about the subject, I found that this is an age where they are developing fears and many of them are afraid of the dark, sleeping alone, etc. We solved a lot of this by letting them share a room. It is a temporary solution, but for now, it has worked perfectly! They have each other and they have both slept much better than before. If your kids are experiencing fear, just know it is normal and try to make them feel as safe and comfortable as possible (without giving in too much).
Spring Sales
This week has been so crazy and boy, am I happy to see Friday! Not only is it the weekend, it is our spring break! The kids have a whole week off which may make it little hectic around here, but I am excited to not have to go anywhere first thing in the morning for a few days. Does that make me lazy? haha It’s the little things in life…
If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already know, but my little Hamp broke his foot on Monday. He was so bummed because h just started t-ball. Luckily he may only have to wear a cast for 2 weeks. We are hoping he can get it off then so he doesn’t miss too much. In other news, I am sharing some spring sales today because they are too good not to share! Be sure to check out my sales tabs as well for my latest picks from each retailer!
8 Things Expecting Moms Need in Their Go-Bag
Are you an expecting mom? First off, Congratulations! This is such an exciting time and can also be a little scary – especially for first-time expecting moms. I remember how scared I was throughout my pregnancy with my first son. All of the “what-if” questions. Not having a clue when it comes to having your own baby, being responsible for another person, not to mention all of the health concerns and issues that arise in some pregnancies and newborns. One little thing can turn an exciting time into a very scary moment. I have been so blessed to have three healthy babies, however, my third pregnancy was not easy. I had a “full placenta previa” throughout most of my pregnancy and was even on bedrest for 5 weeks. I also experienced a lot of pain that I did not experience in my first two pregnancies. It was very difficult and there were a lot of concerns about my sweet Weston coming early.
One thing that helped me during this time and really in most situations in my life is feeling prepared. There is only so much we can prepare for, but these little things really help put the mind at ease. I leave the rest up to God and pray – a lot. Packing my “go-bag” earlier on in my last pregnancy was something my doctor recommended just in case I went into labor early. Having that little bag with everything in it made me feel so much better because I knew I just had to grab it on my way out the door and I’d be good to go. Here is what was in my go-bag:
Over 20 Easter Dresses
It is so hard to believe we are less than a month away from Easter! One of my favorite traditions in to buy new Easter dresses for Sophie and myself. I don’t do it every year, but I enjoy picking out my babies’ outfits and occasionally a dress for myself. I like to find a dress that I can wear all spring and summer so that I can get a lot of wear out of it. I have been searching through tons of retailers and have picked some of my favorite Easter dresses at all price points.
Top Ten Sales in February
I can’t believe today is the last day of February! Where has the time gone? I’ll be honest, though, I am so ready for warmer weather! It has been so cold lately, and I am ready for sunshine, pool days and beach vacations! Spring break is right around the corner and I could not be more ready for a break and to spend more time with my babies! I have been studying this month’s analytics again and thought it would be fun to share my top ten sales from the month! These are not all that surprising because they were some of my favorites as well!
