Bible Verses for Stressed Out Moms

September 30, 2019

I’m not going to lie, it has been a long and stressful last two weeks. We have had a lot going on and when we are in a busy season, I tend to get stressed. It’s funny though, because I also feel like that stress drives me to be super productive. For example, stressed out Logan turns into cleaning the whole house Logan. What can I say, it gets the nervous energy out. However, I have definitely turned to scripture many times over the last couple of weeks when I started to feel a lot of stress, anxiety or worry. I thought I would share some of my favorite bibles verses for stressed out moms because I know I am not the only one who feels it sometimes. Being a mother is the most stressful, wonderful job there is! I hope these verses give you comfort and encouragement.

“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

“The Lord is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.” Exodus 15:2

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.” Ephesians 6:10

“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18

“but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

“You should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.” 1 Peter 3:4

6 Verses to Read to Your Child Struggling with Fear

March 19, 2018

It is very normal for children to experience fears. It is a part of life for everyone. Do you remember being afraid of the dark, or storms when you were a kid? I was afraid of both, but now I love storms. Funny how that happens…one minute it is a major fear and the next, you have faced and embraced it without even realizing it happened.

Both of my older kids have had issues with fear around the age of two. After a lot of research about the subject, I found that this is an age where they are developing fears and many of them are afraid of the dark, sleeping alone, etc. We solved a lot of this by letting them share a room. It is a temporary solution, but for now, it has worked perfectly! They have each other and they have both slept much better than before. If your kids are experiencing fear, just know it is normal and try to make them feel as safe and comfortable as possible (without giving in too much).

Encouragement

February 20, 2013

I feel like so many people are going through a rough time right now. Whether it is finances, heart aches, health issues, or tough relationships. I have friends going through all of the above and personally. I am going through some of them myself.

I wholeheartedly believe in speaking life into people. Words are so important because you can rip someone to pieces or you can lift their spirits and give them the encouragement they may need to get through the day. I wanted to give all of you a little encouragement today along with myself. I could definitely use it right now.

I love this quote because it is so true. Everyone is going through something and no matter how insignificant it may seem to you, it may be the hardest thing they’ve ever had to go through. Always be mindful of others through your words. Think before asking someone when they are going to get married because they may be struggling with commitment issues or haven’t found the right guy yet. Think before asking a married couple when they are going to have children because they might be having a hard time getting pregnant. Think before  asking someone why they never smile because they may have just lost a job or someone they love. Always be mindful of others.

I have a friend who is going through a serious illness. He is getting some pretty important results today, which is why I chose to share this verse. What powerful words on a day like today. Take comfort in knowing that God knows. He hears you and he can heal you. No matter what you are going through, He can help you. He will see you through.

This is a verse that gives me a lot of comfort, but it is also very challenging for me. I am a worrier. I’m constantly worrying about what will come next or everything I have to accomplish tomorrow before I’m even through today. I’m constantly fearful of what the future will bring. It helps to know that the big guy upstairs holds my future. He knows what will happen and will help me through everything ahead of me – the good and the bad.
I’m sorry if I rambled too much in this post. These were just a few things on my heart that I wanted to share with you. I hope you all have a wonderful week! If there is anything I can pray for you for, please let me know. I would love to add you to my prayer list.
