I am so excited to start talking about fall trends. I have a post coming up where I will share all of my favorite trends for this year (and my picks) in one place, but for today, I wanted to share my love for military jackets. Maybe it’s my southern roots, but I am sucker for all things camo, so the fact that military jackets and details are “in” this year has me all kinds of excited. This is a trend I will definitely be wearing this fall!
Living in the south, I am all about transitional pieces and light layers. Our weather is so unpredictable and changes drastically day by day. It’s important to be ready for warm and cold weather in the same day during the fall months. I found this adorable floral peplum top for under $40 and couldn’t get over the price and how adorable this top was. I couldn’t resist.
It’s basically fall – I mean, the Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back and the temps have dropped a good bit this week and I have even been able to enjoy a fall outfit here and there.. Not to mention football. Those four things signal the beginning of fall for me. School is in, Halloween decor is everywhere (yay!) and I have officially begun decorating for the new season. Hi friends! I can’t believe I have not posted since Monday. I’m sorry about that. Things have been a little crazy around here. Nothing really new has been happening, we have just been really busy this week and Ryan has been out of town so, you know. Busyness. Anyways…I wanted to pop in today to tell you about a few of our favorites this week!
This weekend was a whirlwind. Ryan was out of town Friday, and I swear it’s like my kids can feel when I’m greatly outnumbered. They went nuts. I won’t even get into how much poop and pee I cleaned off of our floor that day. TMI? Sorry. Anyways… Saturday was an entirely different story! They were great! We cleaned out the playroom and began the process of transforming the playroom into a playroom/my office. I dropped off nearly $600 worth of clothes and toys to be consigned which also felt amazing. I am so happy to be rid of all those clothes that have been taking up space in our house for way too long.
Football season is upon us, friends! I’m not sure if you know this, but college football is a little bit of a big deal in the state of Alabama. If you live here, you just laughed at that, because for most…not some, but most people, it is life. I am not one of those people, however, I do love the sport and enjoy pulling for the Gators and the Tigers. The Auburn Tigers, that is. My sister goes to Auburn along with nearly all of my cousins and I graduated from Auburn Montgomery which is not the same at all, but still. I love my Tigers because I was raised to love them. That’s just how it is. I am so excited to share a cute little game day outfit with y’all!
Hey guys! Well, it’s official! Another year has come and gone. I turned twenty-nine, yesterday! The last year of my twenties, and I intend to make it a good one! I celebrated in my favorite new Free People dress! I have held out all spring and summer for this beauty and finally took the plunge and bought it! I’m so glad I did because it is absolutely beautiful. It does run a little big (I’m wearing an XS) so size down one size. It is so comfortable and great for weddings, church or – birthdays!

Happy Monday, friends! We are recovering from another busy weekend and I have officially torn our house apart trying to go through our house and purge! Does anyone else do that right before school starts? I feel like the fall and holiday seasons are going to be insanely busy this year and I am trying to get it all knocked out before then. For some, summer is coming to an end, but for those of us in the south, we still have two to three more months of summer weather. Summer fashion is so much fun! I love that you can wear frilly dresses, white, bright colors, tanks, shorts, skirts, hats, sandals and the list goes on. I have been really excited to share this post with some of my favorite summer fashion staples that I purchased this year! These are things I have worn many times and have absolutely loved!

So, we will be doing a lot of celebrating this weekend because my nephew’s birthday party is this weekend and we will also be celebrating my birthday this weekend as a family! I am feeling very mixed emotions over my last year in my twenties, guys. It’s getting real up in here…real old. Oldie, but goodie, right? Okay, I’m done. On to the good stuff.
Happy Monday, friends! Did you see my mommy and me fashion post last night on IG? Lately, I’ve had a thing for matching Sophie. It started one day when I realized we were wearing a similar outfit and got so many compliments on our “matching” clothes. I thought it was so funny because it was a complete accident. I saw how excited and special it made Sophie feel, so since then, I have enjoyed trying to find clothes that are similar so that we can match and take “pit-ures.” Sophie girl loves to take photos with me, now! It used to be a struggle, but now she cries if I am taking them of anything else without her. haha Ohhh the joys of being a mom blogger. I snagged this adorable skirt about a month ago when it was on super sale (I think it is still on sale)! I bought it for under $30! I also got this top on sale a while back, too! My MIL bought Sophie this adorable little skort from Khols that actually has another matching top, but we paired it with a white tank to match mine for church on Sunday. I loved it. Let’s just say we were feeling a little ruffly.
