TWENTY-NINE + Free People Dress

Hey guys! Well, it’s official! Another year has come and gone. I turned twenty-nine, yesterday! The last year of my twenties, and I intend to make it a good one! I celebrated in my favorite new Free People dress! I have held out all spring and summer for this beauty and finally took the plunge and bought it! I’m so glad I did because it is absolutely beautiful. It does run a little big (I’m wearing an XS) so size down one size. It is so comfortable and great for weddings, church or – birthdays!

A few things I have learned in my twenty-nine years on earth is that life is short, so you need to make it sweet. Be kind to everyone, even if they don’t deserve it. Forgive quickly and easily. Support your friends and family. Love big. Birthdays come and go and years pass so quickly. I mean, look at my babies! Look at how fast they have grown. It’s surreal, really. The fact that I will have a four-year-old soon, is insane!

What I have taken away from the past few years is that you can not control the actions or words of others but you can control how you respond to them. I have really good friends – many of them I have had for most of my life. If you are a good friend, you will have good friends. If you are supportive of your family, they will support you back. Build your tribe and make it strong. In the end, they are the ones that matter and always did.

Enough of the sap, now. Sorry, I’m feeling emotional today. Weird, I know. I do want to tell you all how much you mean to me! I didn’t exactly mention it because I kind of forgot to be honest, but my blog is officially 5 years old as of July 17th! I plan to celebrate that very soon with all of you! If it weren’t for y’all, I could not follow my passion. I could not stay home with my babies. I could not have this creative outlet and my blog tribe. You guys are amazing and I can not tell you how much every click, retweet, Instagram like, comment, mention, etc. means to me! I appreciate all of you so much!

My birthday was spent with my favorite people in the whole world! My three little nuggets and the love of my life! We ate lunch at my favorite restaurant and Ryan bought me flowers and Starbucks! There may have even been a cookie cake involved. We ended the evening with my parents and ate at one of our favorite spots in town. It was pretty perfect! I love my people! Twenty-nine, you’re looking mighty fine (Sorry, I had to)!
