I can’t believe you are ten months old! Where has the time gone? Your life is flashing before my very eyes. I feel like you should still be a newborn, but overnight, you have become my bouncing happy baby boy. You light up the room with your big toothless smile and your hearty chuckle. You have the most beautiful blue eyes and the sweetest demeanor. A few of your ten month favorites include your lovey, MAMS soothers, your Dockatot, cars, bananas, pulling my hair and wrestling your sister. You can definitely hold your own, little buddy!
Back to School with Gap Kids
We received products from Gap Kids in exchange for an honest review. #GapToSchool
My kid’s first day of school went better than expected. Don’t you love it when that happens? They both walked right in their classrooms like they owned the place! It was a magical feeling. Even Weston cooperated – thanks in a big part to his new carrier that he sat in like a champ! You know what they say… you have to dress the part… something like that? Well, that is just what we are doing this year thanks to Gap kids and Just for Me Too!
Back to School Toddler Capsule Wardrobe
Last year, I really over bought for Sophie. I think it can be so easy to do with little girls, especially. I found so many mommy and me pieces that I just “had to have” and I ended up buying way too much. This year, i am determined to save more money and have created a capsule wardrobe for Sophie. She has a few things that she can still wear from last year that will be bonuses, but other than that, this (or similar to this) is what I am buying her. Well, throw in a couple of holiday outfits in there, too. 😉
Friday Favorites
Hey guys! Happy Friday!! So, it has been a while since I have written a Friday Favorites post, but I thought it would be fun to share some with you today! I know you guys are so tired of hearing about the #nsale and I promise you won’t for much longer because it is almost over. I feel equally happy and sad about that. Happy that my wallet won’t be tempted any longer, and sad that the deals with come to an end. Does anyone else feel the same way? Looking for a friend, here…
So, we will be doing a lot of celebrating this weekend because my nephew’s birthday party is this weekend and we will also be celebrating my birthday this weekend as a family! I am feeling very mixed emotions over my last year in my twenties, guys. It’s getting real up in here…real old. Oldie, but goodie, right? Okay, I’m done. On to the good stuff.
Back to School Gear for Kids
It’s hard to believe that it is already time to talk about going back to school! I can’t believe how fast the summer has flown by. We are excited about the new school year, but the feelings are very bittersweet. My Sophie girl will be going to 2K two days a week and Camp will be heading into 3K. I am excited about the extra time that it will allow me to get some work done during the week, but I always miss them when they are away. It was dogwood for Hampton last year, and I am praying big blessing for both of them this year. I can’t wait to watch them learn, grow and get so excited to show me what they made or colored every day! Those moments were so fun for us last year, and I can’t wait for Sophie to experience school for the first time.
How to Maintain Peace at Home with Young Children
Since having Weston, and then moving a week after that, I feel like our lives have literally been turned upside down. We have had a lot of good days, but we’ve also had a lot of bad ones. Hampton is still having major sleep issues – meaning he doesn’t sleep. Ever. Weston is also not sleeping. Ryan has been traveling a lot. The list goes on and on. Life is anything but easy right now and I’ve honestly been a little down about it. One thing I keep coming back to in my readings is the word peace. Peace is not an easy state to maintain, but it is something worth fighting for and working hard to get to. As I continue to work hard to create peace in our home for my husband, our children and our marriage, I wanted to share some ideas that I have been bouncing around.

Where to Find Great Support for Breastfeeding Moms
I am happy and proud (and blessed) to have breastfed all three of my babies. I breastfed Hampton for just under 6 months, Sophie for almost 8 months and Weston is still going strong at 7 months. It has not always been easy – I have definitely wanted to give up numerous times – and I have questioned myself with all three of them, so to say it has been easy is a boldfaced lie. It has been anything BUT easy. Breastfeeding is giving up your own body and sharing it far beyond pregnancy. It is not convenient. I can’t wait to share this great resource for infant feeding advice and breastfeeding tips and support!

Favorite Kid Brands and Small Shops
I thought it would be fun to round up a few of the kid brands and small shops that we have worked with over the last couple of months and love to shop with! I get asked all the time where I shop for them, so here is a big roundup of a lot of the things we have been gifted and shop at frequently!
