Hey Girl Shirt: c/o Bless Her HeartΒ here

How adorable is this shirt? I have always cracked up over the Ryan Gosling “Hey Girl” quotes, and now that Hampton is about to have a baby sister, I thought it would be fun to snatch him up one of these babies. He rocks it pretty well, don’t you think? Hampton loves to stare at the ladies lately. It makes me laugh. I don’t know if it’s the big bows, or what, but he is definitely noticing them. Lord help us!

Over the weekend, we decided we are officially ready to meet baby sister. We have been wearing pink and our “Hey Girl” shirt every day this week trying to egg her on! I cleaned the entire house, did all of the laundry and I am physically more than ready to have this baby. My doctor said she could literally come any minute and I feel like it! Come on baby girl!!

Baby Girl Nursery Reveal

April 20, 2015

Girl-Nursery
Tissue Garland: c/o Love Garlands

I have finally finished the nursery! Most everything you see in the room is H’s old nursery decor and furniture, I just added a few feminine touches. I picked up this rug from TJ Maxx for $15! I was pretty happy about that. I purchased her a new bumper and crib sheet to add a little pink in the room from Bye Bye Baby. The Tissue Garland above her bed is by Love Garlands! Isn’t it so cute? I wanted something light and girly above her crib and this was the perfect decor to complete her nursery!

Yes, one of the handles is broken thanks to a very clumsy and determined toddler. It is on my list of things to fix this week.

I’ve still got a picture of H in the frame until we have SR’s newborn photos done after she is born. I will trade them out after that. πŸ™‚ I picked up this little table at TJ Maxx and painted it with homemade chalk paint that Ryan and I mixed up real quick. It turned out perfect!

My grandmother made SR this beautiful quilt. She has made all of her children, grandchildren and now great-grandchildren a quilt. They are so beautiful and special to us. I’m so thankful that Hampton and SR will have a piece of her forever.

Diaper Bag Checklist

April 16, 2015

Diaper-Bag-Checklist

As I’ve been packing for the hospital over the last couple of days, I decided, hey! Why not blog about it? So here is a list of things I have packed in our baby girl’s diaper bag:

baby

Cute Diaper Bag
Wipes
Diapers
Baby’s first aid kit
Onesies
Swaddles
Pacifiers
Paci Wipes
Hand and Face Wipes
Tylenol
Teething gel or tablets
Plastic bag (for dirty clothes or diapers)
Bottles/snacks
Snacks and water bottle for mom especially if you’re nursing.
Teething toy
Taggie Blanket
Thermometer

I ended up buying the Petunia Pickle Bottom Sashay Satchel in Paris Noir and could not be happier with it! I can wear it as a tote or as a backpack which is a huge deal to me! I also love all the pockets and storage it has since I will be putting 2 kid’s things in it this time around.

With H, I learned the hard way to never ever leave without a plastic bag and at least 2 outfits packed. I had a couple of bad accidents with him in the beginning and it was not pleasant.

Speaking of outfits, I absolutely love this TuTu Sweet In Pink Boutique. They have the cutest onesies, and you are in luck because they are giving one away to my lucky readers! Go to TSIPB’s Facebook page and choose the onesie you want from this album! Enter in the rafflecopter below! Good luck!

Ryan laughs at me because I call newborns “new babies.” I’m not sure why, but I always have. I mean, they ARE new. Anyways… when I saw this adorable onesie, I knew I had to have it. First of all, I decided at the beginning of the year that my color was going to be gold. I’ve been loving gold sparkly everything lately. With the phrase and the fast that the letters are all gold and sparkly, I just couldn’t say no to this one. My baby girl had to have it. I have obviously packed it in our hospital bag, because she needs to wear it while she is “new.” πŸ™‚

Hospital Bag List // Infanteenie Beenie

March 12, 2015

Rose Bow Hat: Infanteenie Beenie here
Flower Hat: Infanteenie Beenie here

This week, I started pulling a few items from baby girl’s closet that I know I want to take with us to the hospital. I learned a lot about how and what to pack in your hospital bag with Hampton. For example, we didn’t need 3 swaddle blankets or 5 onesies. The hospital supplies so many things for you. For her, I knew that I wanted to pack one swaddle, a couple of burp cloths, her going home outfit, lovey fox and her adorable hospital hats from Infanteenie Beenie!

crochet-baby-hat
Are they not the most precious things you have ever seen? In the hospital, they give you the typical blue and pink striped hat, but I want my little girl to have a special hat with a little added bling of her own. I discovered Infanteenie Beenie on Etsy a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with their hats. I only wish I had learned about them before my niece was born.
They are the only newborn hospital hats with a four seamed round top. They are also made right here in the USA! They have won countless awards and been featured in many magazines and on T.V. shows. They have had several celebrity customers including Kristin Cavellari from The Hills! Swoon! Are any of you fans of The Hills? That was my show back in the day! Needless to say, I’m a bit behind the game on this discovery.

These precious hospital hats are GREAT quality and I can’t wait for little SR to wear them! They would also make excellent gifts for your next baby shower! Be sure to check out Infanteenie Beenie on Etsy, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram!

32 Week Baby Update // Kandi Daniel Studios

March 6, 2015

Deer Gown: Kandi Daniel Studios here

Moccasins: Freshly Picked

As I was going through all of our baby girl’s clothes the other day, it hit me that I had not purchased any gowns for her to wear. I put Hampton in gowns every night for the first few months because they made it so easy to change him during the night, and we were doing a lot of that. It hit me immediately that I needed to get some gowns ASAP, so I took to Etsy, of course. I found this adorable little monogrammed antler gown from Kandi Daniel Studios and I knew I had to have it. Not only is the design adorable, but I love the ruffle detail on the sleeves. It is so girly which is a must for our little girl.

By the way, did you catch it? Her initials are SRC! I’ll let you have fun guessing at her name for the next few weeks. πŸ™‚ I’m so excited to share it with everyone. Her middle name is very special to Ryan and me for very different reasons, but we have known since before we got married that we wanted to use it, and her first name just seemed to click with both of us one day. It also goes great with Hampton, so it was a done deal. I am thrilled that we finally settled on a name and I can monogram all. the. things.

Kandi Daniel Studios has so many cute tees for brides, moms, and babies, as well as monogrammed shorts, Easter toys and more! She offers a wide variety and everything is so adorable.

Kandi is giving all new customers a 15% discount with code NEW15 with your first order!

Be sure to follow her on Facebook and Instagram!

And now for my weekly bump update!

How Far Along: 32 weeks! Only 8 more to go!

Size of Baby: 3 3/4 lbs.  and 16 1/2 inches long

Gender: Our baby girl! SRC!

Movement: All the time. She has really been keeping me up at night because that is when she moves the most. It’s so sweet, but I’m afraid she is going to be like her big brother and be a night owl.

Sleep: Who needs sleep?

Workouts: This week, I have walked a lot more because it has been so nice outside. I’ve walked about 2 miles a day and I’ve still been completing my TIU workouts with a lot of stretching and yoga thrown in. It has made me feel a lot better when I stretch.

Maternity Clothes: I’ve been rocking my Nike shorts most of this week. It has been warmer and it has been so nice to wear shorts.

Symptoms: Luckily I haven’t had any more painful Braxton Hicks this week. I’ve been trying to drink lots and lots of water to keep hydrated so I don’t have anymore pain. It has definitely helped.

Cravings/Aversions: Just sweets every now and then. My cravings still haven’t been crazy. I even made it three day in a row this week without any sweets at all. πŸ™‚

Missing Most: Sleep. And my abs. Because they are officially gone. At least for the next couple of months. I am having a really hard time doing any sort of ab workouts now, although I haven’t given up completely yet.

Nursery: I shared a sneak peek at our nursery this week! Did you catch it?

We are officially 2 months (or sooner) away from meeting our baby girl! I have finally organized Hampton’s new room and Baby Girl’s closet, and I have officially started decorating! I know I know, it’s about time. With all the adorable nursery ideas on Pinterest, I just couldn’t decide what to choose. With less than 9 weeks until she arrives, I still have a lot to do around here. It’s times like these that I am very thankful for Etsy. I was so exited to find these adorable baby blocks from Blockaholic Boutique. They are so adorable and GREAT quality. I am loving these blocks for a baby boy. Are they not the cutest? They are real wood, painted and personalized. They can be customized to your specifications. Since we didn’t know our baby girl’s name until just recently – yes, we FINALLY have a name!! – I ordered the blocks to say “bebe Cantrell” instead!

Since we have waited so late to decide on a name, we are going to wait to announce it until she is born, however, you will get a sneak peek at her initials later this week! I’ve got to keep you guessing! πŸ™‚

baby-girl-rooms

I’m so thankful to have finally started decorating her nursery. Luckily, I don’t have much more to do. I have one more shelf to decorate and I need to find something to put over her crib. Other than that, we are all set! I can’t wait to share more details of her nursery with you as I complete it!

Be sure to check out Blockaholic Boutique on Etsy! They have the cutest blocks and nursery decor around!

Darling Oh Deer

February 10, 2015

Head wraps c/o: Darling Oh Deer
If you weren’t already aware from this post, I have a slight obsession with Gilmore Girls, so this onesie was a must for our baby girl. I actually asked the shop to personalize this one to say Lorelai and Luke instead of Cory and Topanga, and it has seemed to really take off for her shop which is really exciting!  Until this past week, I had not bought our little girl anything pink. What? Crazy. Needless to say, I was really excited when these head wraps came in from Darling Oh Deer. Are they not perfect? This pink one is reversible with black polka dots on one side and solid pink on the other. I have a feeling she will get a lot of wear out of it.
baby-head-wraps

Of course I had to get her a buffalo plaid head wrap for next fall/winter. I mean, she is my daughter. She must have plaid. I also picked her up one of my favorite childhood books this week. Madeline is a classic and is set in my favorite city in the world. Win/win in my book!

These goodies are making me really excited for her arrival. While we are still far from ready as far as her nursery and preparations, we are getting so much closer to playing endless dress up. I. Can’t. Wait. Less than 12 weeks and counting, little one.

Little Pistols

January 12, 2015

Sweater: Target Pants: Old Navy Moccasins: Little Pistols here

Hampton has been sick for the last week, so he was beyond ready to get outside as soon as he started feeling better. He braved the cold and all. He’s such an outdoorsman. haha

boy_moccasins

I was very excited to receive his new moccs from an Etsy shop that I came across a couple of weeks ago – Little Pistols. Not only to I love this shop and everything they have to offer, but I love Trista’s story behind these special handmade moccs. She was a teacher before she had her first child and quit teaching to be a SAHM. She is also a rancher’s wife, so the ranch life keeps her busy as well and her growing business. It has really grown and she is excited to reveal new styles and colors this year!

I love her selection, but I can’t tell you how wonderful the quality is. They are genuine leather and are so much more affordable than any other leather moccasins I have seen. I can’t wait to purchase a pair for my daughter! They are so affordable that you could also give them as gifts to friends and family without breaking your budget.

baby_boy_moccasins

Hampton was a big fan of his new moccasins! He loves running around in them, chasing Pippa and climbing his new slide. Happy baby = happy mama! πŸ™‚

24 Weeks // Mini Moccs and Bows

January 9, 2015

affordable_baby_moccasins

Moccasins: here // Bow: here

Baby girl is already getting spoiled. Not only did she get a few gifts for Christmas, but she got her first pair of moccasins this week! They are so tiny and adorable! She even got a matching bow. I mean, how could she  not? I came across Mini Moccs and Bows on Instagram (of course) and fell in love with their baby moccs. I am very pleased with the quality and I can’t wait to dress her up in them. They’ve got a few new styles available and even have a pair of leopard moccs! I am in love. Why didn’t anyone warn me that having a girl would break me? πŸ˜‰

Mini Moccs and Bows is so affordable. I will definitely be ordering from them in the future. Their baby bows and moccs would make a lovely baby gift as well.

How far along: 24 weeks tomorrow!

Size of baby:1 and 1/3 pound and 12 inches long!

Gender: Our sweet baby Girl!

Weight Gain: I officially hit the dreaded 10 lb. mark this week. I feel good and have been exercising a good bit and eating healthy, but I have a feeling those pounds are coming. I am 10 lbs. down from where I was with Hamp at this point which I am very thankful for.

Movement: She is moving all the time! She even wakes me up during the night. Ryan has felt her many times this week and he loves it!

Workouts: Love Your Body series has officially begun and I am doing really well so far. I am a little behind on my miles, but I am trying to catch up.

Sleep: I’m still sleeping okay.

Maternity Clothes: I’m still trying to mostly make due with what I’ve got. I am loving this maxi dress, though! It is so comfortable! You can read my review here.

Cravings: Still no cravings.

Favorite Moment This Week: We bought Hampton’s new bed! Huge step for his new room. The only problem is that it won’t be here for at least 6 more weeks. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted now that we have officially started planning his new room. Also, I went to the doctor yesterday and everything looked great. Baby girl’s heartbeat was 132 and she was moving all around. It makes me so happy and thankful to hear her little heart beating and knowing that she is healthy.

Looking Forward To: The weekend. We have had a busy week, and I am definitely ready to relax a little bit…and catch up on my miles. πŸ™‚

Hat: c/o Cozy Nooks here // Sweater: Old Navy here

pom-hat
Hampton received a slide for Christmas from Ryan’s parents and we finally put it together. Hampton lit up like a Christmas tree! He was so excited to play – and boy did he. In fact, he wasn’t too happy about going back inside. The little guy just doesn’t understand that we can’t play in the dark. It was so cold and I was very thankful that we had this adorable pom beanie to put on his little head to keep him warm. I have been hunting for a pom beanie for him this year and was thrilled to find this one. It is SO cute, I mean, come on.

Cozy Nooks creates the most beautiful crochet goodies from baby hats to boot socks. They even have adorable wooden signs that can be personalized to your liking. They were so sweet to send Hamp this cute little turtle stuffed animal. He loved it! I can’t say enough good things about this shop. I love to shop small businesses so I was really happy to come across them. I’ve even got my eye on a couple of hats for our baby girl’s newborn portraits. I’ll be keeping an eye on them via Instagram and Facebook.
I loved using my favorite Christmas present (a.k.a. my new DSLR) to capture these precious moments of my baby boy. I think it’s safe to say he enjoyed his playtime as well. πŸ™‚
