Mommy and Me Style: Chambray + Leopard

I am so excited to do my first mommy and me styled post in a new series I’ll be doing over the next few weeks. I love to match SR in subtle ways. Don’t get me wrong, I do not like to dress like a baby, but I love finding little details that tie in our outfits.

I’ve always enjoyed color coordinating with Hampton, but I can take it a step further now that I have a little girl.

I am a huge fan of leopard print. I have been for many many years. I absolutely love it and it never goes out of style! I loved these adorable headbands that I found on Etsy at Urban Style Kids. I could’t help but snatch them up! USK has the cutest headbands and they are so comfortable.

I am also still loving the Chambray look that was really popular last year. I am so glad it is still in! I bought both of our chambray rompers at Old Navy and I am a huge fan of both of them! They are easy and you can style them so many ways. The possibilities are endless!

Confession: These pictures were taken 3 weeks ago and I’m just now posting this. Whoops. I am a little behind. 😉

Poms and Pineapples

This weekend was one for the books! My grandparents drove up from Florida to meet SR for the first time, and let me just tell you, it was love at first sight. My grandmother would not put her down. It was pretty precious!

My sister also surprised us by coming home for the weekend and I was so excited to see her! We always have so much fun together.

I saw these adorable Pom pom shorts on Samantha’s blog and fell in love with them. So, obviously, I ordered me some. They are kind of perfect. I have always loved bright colors. I am really excited that neon is so popular this year. I feel like my wardrobe is actually in style! Give me all the neon.

This adorable pineapple necklace and druzy bangle are from Lemon Sweet Jewelry on Etsy! I am so in love with this shop and their jewelry! I am also loving this bee necklace and this gold feather necklace. Seriously some of the cutest jewelry I’ve seen in a while.

Something else amazing happened this weekend! Ryan and I were strolling through Target shopping for a birthday present when I saw stuffed in the back of a shelf a pair of Lilly Pulitzer pineapple sandals IN MY SIZE. Probably the last LP item left in our entire store. It was fate. I was so excited and of course bought them. I have been on cloud 9 ever since!

I absolutely LOVE finding cute clothes for my little miss! Even more? I love finding cute clothes that don’t look like every other store’s style. I like to find unique things. That is just what I found at Made by Molly on Etsy. I first came across these adorable Henley shorts and fell in love with them. After perusing, I had to get SR these adorable moccs and sweat pants for this fall/winter! I am so in love! The shorts are so adorable on her and she will definitely be wearing them to death, so get used to seeing her in them! 😉

Don’t get me wrong, Target is my store. For everything. Even when I don’t need anything, I always come out of that store with something. It’s my crack. However, I do love dressing my kids in clothes that are a little more unique when I can. Made By Molly has so many adorable baby clothes and moccasins. I can’t wait to order more from her in the future!

Sophie-Rae has been spitting up a lot lately. I forgot how many burp cloths newborns go through in a day. I have been so thankful that we bought several this time around. It keeps me from doing a load of laundry every day. These monogrammed burp cloths from Baby Cheeks Boutique have been my absolute favorite! They are so adorable and have been my favorite to take to church and when we are out and about. They are so cute and I am a sucker for all things monogrammed (hello, I’m southern). Baby Cheeks Boutique is one of my favorite shops for all things baby. They have burp cloths, bibs, frames, back packs, bloomers and so much more! This shop is so affordable and great for baby shower gifts!

Sophie-Rae // One Month

Well, that was the fastest month of my life! I can’t believe it has been a month since we were in the hospital welcoming our newest angel into the world! To say I was excited to have a little girl is an understatement! I have had so much fun (probably a little too much) dressing her up and putting all these bows in her hair! I also can’t wait to be a dance mom! haha No, but really! The day we found out we were having a girl, she has been my “little dancer.” The girls in my family dance. It’s just what we do. She danced in my stomach for several months and already loves music. She definitely has some rhythm and is showing real potential. 😉

Sophie-Rae is smiling more and more and has started cooing. She is more alert and stays awake for longer periods of time. She is in size 1 diapers and is starting to wear 0-3 month clothes now, although she can still fit into some of her newborn things. She still has a head full of hair and hasn’t lost any of it yet. She loves her paci and her big brother. Hampton goes over to her swing and will stare at her and giggle and she just stares back at him in awe. haha It is so cute. I love how they already love each other so much.

These leggings and matching turban are so cute for summer! I am so glad that I stumbled upon Autumn Nicole Designs on Etsy! They have the cutest leggings, turbans and so much more for your littles! I am loving this mommy and me pineapple romper/shirt!

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy Tee: c/o Hey You Apparel

This little cutie pie is 18 months old! He was technically 18 months a couple of weeks go, but I have had a few things going on and haven’t had the chance to post his update! 😉

This month, Hampton met Thomas the train, became a big brother, gained another pound and has really come out of his shell. He is seriously the friendliest child. He doesn’t meet a stranger. He is a precious big brother to Sophie-Rae and I love watching him love on her.

He is growing up so fast. It’s true what they say, as soon as you have a newborn, your baby looks 10 years older all of a sudden. However, Hampton has reminded me countless times that he is still very much a baby. Some days, it is really challenging having 2 babies and I have to pray all day for grace and patience. Other days, they are both so precious and I’m thanking God all day for these two amazing blessings.

This little tee is so adorable for this summer. He has already worn it several times and it goes great with his yellow shorts from Old Navy. I have always loved this saying and the whole lemon theme is just so cute for summer!

Personalized Baby Blanket

Blanket: The Buttercup Boutique

I had been in search for the perfect blanket for our sweet girl. It was like fate when I stumbled upon The Buttercup Boutique on Etsy. I was about to order a cute minky dot blanket when she told me she was starting to make personalized baby blankets. She ended up designing one specially for my baby girl which I thought was the sweetest thing ever. She definitely goes above and beyond for her customers.

Needless to say, I’m kind of in love with this sweet blanket, and I think it’s safe to say that SR is, too. I packed it up in our hospital bag and she has enjoyed being all bundled up in it ever since then. I think this will be something she will have and treasure forever.

Hello New Week!

Hello Fresh Start!

This weekend was one for the books! Between wedding showers, birthday celebrations, taking the kids to church for the first time by myself (Ryan was out of town) and only being 5 minutes late (a miracle!), and spending quality time with my kiddos in my new favorite tee. It doesn’t get sweeter than that!

I fell in love with this shirt from Hello Apparel and desperately ~~wanted~~ needed it. I am a little obsessed with floral prints and the pastel floral “hello” is just too much cuteness for me to handle! I also thought this head wrap from Bloom by Haley Anne paired perfectly with it! Give me all the floral! And coffee… but we will save that for another time.

Sweet and Sour

These last two weeks have been very interesting. Not only did we bring a new baby home, but Hampton also has another ear infection and 6 teeth coming in. With that being said, there have definitely been some very sour moments mixed in with some really sweet moments. Hince this adorable tank from Imagine Mint! Not only did the neon color catch my attention (because I love me some color, y’all), but the saying explained my little man so well lately. It also shows of one of my favorite candies, so I’m pretty much obsessed with it.

The other day, Hampton held his foot up to Sophie-Rae’s and pointed at their feet. I think he finally realized she is an actual human and not a toy. I hope so anyways. We have not had any jealous moments (perks of them being so close in age?) however, he really does not get that she is a person and that it hurts when he hits her or pulls on her. We have only had a couple of these not so gentle moments, but I know that it is all due to his age. He loves her to pieces…but sometimes a little too hard. haha

We are definitely learning as we go!

I absolutely can not wait for our sweet little angel to be here! I found this outfit while perusing Etsy one day and fell in love with it. I can’t express to you how precious it is in person. The pictures just don’t do it justice. It is extremely high quality and very well made. Posh Baby offers so many adorable outfits, rompers, bows and even shoes. This shop is quickly becoming a favorite of mine!
