buggies wipes

Confession: I have used baby wipes for years. Probably since I was a baby myself. I’m not sure that they were ever not in our home. Why? Because Kids Outgrow Diapers, Not Messes.* There are so many uses for wipes. Here are just a few that I currently use them for:

-My babies (obviously)
-Spilled tea and coffee
-Clean up dog messes
-Wipe my face after a workout
-Clean off the Car Seats
-Clean off the changing pad in the nursery
-Wipe of surfaces in our home
-Clean off the table
-Clean the highchair
Cleaning peanut butter hands
Playdate clean-ups
Hand wipes on hiking trips
-Clean my Yoga mat
-Clean off grocery carts
‘-Clean pacifiers and baby toys

There are really so many more uses for them. I could go on forever on the ways I’ve used them over the years. I’m excited that Huggies has come out with new Triple Clean Layers wipes that are so efficient in cleaning whatever messes I face every day. And let me just tell you, there are a lot of them.

I recently purchased the Huggies Clutch n Clean for my diaper bag and I have absolutely loved it! It is so convenient…and cute. Because that is what really matters, right?

Sweet Sour Tank c/o: Imagine Mint
These last two weeks have been very interesting. Not only did we bring a new baby home, but Hampton also has another ear infection and 6 teeth coming in. With that being said, there have definitely been some very sour moments mixed in with some really sweet moments. Hince this adorable tank from Imagine Mint! Not only did the neon color catch my attention (because I love me some color, y’all), but the saying explained my little man so well lately. It also shows of one of my favorite candies, so I’m pretty much obsessed with it.
sweet
The other day, Hampton held his foot up to Sophie-Rae’s and pointed at their feet. I think he finally realized she is an actual human and not a toy. I hope so anyways. We have not had any jealous moments (perks of them being so close in age?) however, he really does not get that she is a person and that it hurts when he hits her or pulls on her. We have only had a couple of these not so gentle moments, but I know that it is all due to his age. He loves her to pieces…but sometimes a little too hard. haha
We are definitely learning as we go!

baby announcement ideas

Ryan and I have been making some lifestyle adjustments over the last few months in order to prepare for Sophie-Rae’s arrival. We have been trying to save money any where we can. When it came time to make SR’s birth announcements, I wanted something simple and cheap. That’s where GraphicStock comes in. They have over 250,000 stock photos to choose from. It is so simple to use! All you do is sign up and stat downloading photos! That easy.

I found an adorable baby announcement design and simply used picmonkey to add the wording in there. I love the way it turned out, and best of all? It was totally free! You can’t beat free!

I can’t wait to continue using GraphicStock for other blogging purposes in the future as well. I have a feeling it will really come in handy. I’m so thankful I discovered this great site!

My beautiful little girl, Sophie Raegan, was born on Friday May 1st at 11:43 A.M. She weighed 7lbs. 6 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. She is absolutely perfect and we are so blessed to have a healthy baby girl! Big brother Hamton is learning what “gentle” is and absolutely loves her. Just a little too hard sometimes. He is doing great. We are so happy to be home! Here are a few pictures from our first 2 days as a family of 4!

Happy May! I thought today would be a very appropriate day to look back through my weeks of pregnancy. My due date is TOMORROW! So crazy! I loved putting together this post and looking back at my belly growth. While I gained much less during this pregnancy than I did my first, I still gained more than I wanted to. It will all be worth it when I see that sweet little girl. Here is a look back on my pregnancy:

I have had a wonderful pregnancy this time around and I can’t believe it is almost over (any day now)! We can’t wait to meet our sweet angel!

Baby
I absolutely can not wait for our sweet little angel to be here! I found this outfit while perusing Etsy one day and fell in love with it. I can’t express to you how precious it is in person. The pictures just don’t do it justice. It is extremely high quality and very well made. Posh Baby offers so many adorable outfits, rompers, bows and even shoes. This shop is quickly becoming a favorite of mine!

Bloomers
Those wings on the back and that little Angel bottom!! I can’t even! It’s so hard to believe that any day now, those little bloomers will have a little SR in them! Be sure to check out Posh Baby Bloom’s unique clothes and to check them out on Facebook!
When do you think SR will arrive? (P.S, my due date is Saturday)

Growing up, our city was pretty safe and very family friendly. While it still is in some parts of our town, our downtown area became pretty rough for a few years. Luckily, our government leaders have been trying to revamp our downtown area and make it more “family friendly.” We now have a minor league baseball stadium downtown, and a splash pad for children to play however, we still have a long way to go. While our community has made leaps and bounds to revitalize our city, there is still a lot of work to be done.

farmers-market

This weekend, we spent some time downtown walking around a.k.a. trying to walk out this baby. We enjoyed time at the Farmer’s Market and stocked up on veggies and enjoyed lots of conversation with some of our local farmers. They are seriously the sweetest people. I love supporting them by buying as many of our groceries from them as possible. Needless to say, it was a great way to spend our last weekend as a family of three.

Huggies is awarding 10 community projects $2,000 to improve our communities. You can nominate your community project, too! All you have to do is take a selfie with your baby and post it to Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #UltraHug to be entered into the contest! The contest is happening now through June 25th.

huggies-snug-and-dry-ultra

Speaking of Huggies, I just purchased the new Huggies Snug and Dry Ultra Diapers for little miss! They have a unique quilted liner to better protect babies from leakage, which is extremely important to me having two kids in diapers and all. The less mess I have to clean up, the better. They also offer up to 12 hours of protection. I can’t wait to try them out on SR! Then, because the bag had Mickey on it, we HAD to buy Hampton some as well.
Be sure to try the Huggies Snug and Dry Ultra diapers for yourself!

Baby update: Despite 4 1/2 hours of false labor Sunday night, I am still very pregnant. Please pray that she comes before this weekend because I have 2 special family members who will not be here for her birth if she waits until Friday. 🙁

Hey Girl Shirt: c/o Bless Her Heart here

hey-girl

ryan-gosling-hey-girl
How adorable is this shirt? I have always cracked up over the Ryan Gosling “Hey Girl” quotes, and now that Hampton is about to have a baby sister, I thought it would be fun to snatch him up one of these babies. He rocks it pretty well, don’t you think? Hampton loves to stare at the ladies lately. It makes me laugh. I don’t know if it’s the big bows, or what, but he is definitely noticing them. Lord help us!

Over the weekend, we decided we are officially ready to meet baby sister. We have been wearing pink and our “Hey Girl” shirt every day this week trying to egg her on! I cleaned the entire house, did all of the laundry and I am physically more than ready to have this baby. My doctor said she could literally come any minute and I feel like it! Come on baby girl!!

Tissue Garland: c/o Love Garlands

I have finally finished the nursery! Most everything you see in the room is H’s old nursery decor and furniture, I just added a few feminine touches. I picked up this rug from TJ Maxx for $15! I was pretty happy about that. I purchased her a new bumper and crib sheet to add a little pink in the room from Bye Bye Baby. The Tissue Garland above her bed is by Love Garlands! Isn’t it so cute? I wanted something light and girly above her crib and this was the perfect decor to complete her nursery!

Yes, one of the handles is broken thanks to a very clumsy and determined toddler. It is on my list of things to fix this week.

I’ve still got a picture of H in the frame until we have SR’s newborn photos done after she is born. I will trade them out after that. 🙂 I picked up this little table at TJ Maxx and painted it with homemade chalk paint that Ryan and I mixed up real quick. It turned out perfect!

I will be 38 weeks pregnant tomorrow! We are officially in the home stretch! I had a great check-up this week! Baby SR is already 7lbs. and has lots of hair just like her brother! She also has little rolls on her thighs! Ah, I died! She is head down and ready to go! My Doctor told me it could literally be any day.I wouldn’t hate it if she came on.  I’m still feeling pretty good, just large and getting to that uncomfortable point. Although, I feel a million times better this time than I did with H. I’m thankful for that. Be sure to follow me on Instagram for baby updates!

My awesome MIL texted me this week and offered to keep H for us tonight so that Ryan and I can go on a date and enjoy a night to ourselves before SR arrives! I am SO excited! Ryan has been super busy this past month and I feel like I’ve hardly seen him. We definitely could use this time alone right about now. I’m also excited to hopefully get a little bit of uninterrupted cleaning done. It’s going to be a great weekend!

Last weekend, we took Hampton to see Thomas the Train. We rode him and met Sir Topham Hatt! It was a huge deal to my little boy who is absolutely in love with Thomas. I almost cried when he saw him for the first time. His little face lit up and he was so happy! Later that day, Hampton started looking awful. His eyes were swollen and he broke out in a rash. I thought he was having an allergic reaction to something, but it turns out he had Roseola virus. He has also been battling a double ear infection. I ran him to the Doctor and we found out the antibiotic he had been on was not even working. It was pitiful. Needless to say, we have spent most of our week inside resting. My little man is finally acting better and his rash has cleared up. I’m so ready to have my crazy little toddler back! 🙁
