I am not one of those women who gets pregnant, gains 20 to 25 pounds and looks amazing the second she gives birth. It has taken me a lot of strong will, determination, dieting and exercise to get back to my “normal” after each pregnancy and has also taken several months. Even now, I am almost 7 months postpartum and still have 5 lbs. to lose. It is a process for me, and not an easy one. Because of all the struggles I had during my third pregnancy (placenta previa, a vitamin D deficiency and gallbladder issues) and even some health issues postpartum, I decided it was time to get myself really healthy.
I could take vitamins and I do – when I think about it. One thing I never forget? My morning coffee. It is essential to mommy’s functioning that she gets her coffee first thing every morning. Confession time: I am not a morning person. As much as I would love to be, I just don’t have it in me. I am normally grumpy and still exhausted in the mornings (thanks to two boys who do not sleep).
Lack of sleep and three back-to-back pregnancies has really taken a toll on my metabolism and my overall health. After making the decision to focus on getting healthy this year, I incorporated more exercise in my daily routine, added more fruits and veggies into my diet, cut out a lot of sugar and have also started incorporating more vitamins into my diet the only way I know how I won’t forget – through drinking coffee. You read that right! VitaCup offers vitamin-infused coffee and tea pods that are compatible with k-cups and keurigs. We use our keurig every morning and afternoon (we have needed an afternoon jolt, lately) and when I discovered coffee that has vitamins in it, it was a no-brainer!
VitaCup K-Cup®-style coffee and tea pods come in three signature flavors: French Roast, French Vanilla and Green Tea. The brand has incorporated essential vitamins that help boost your metabolism and immunity and combat fatigue – leaving me with more energy to chase the kiddos!
VitaCup’s CEO and Founder – Brandon Fishman created VitaCup pods after a series of blood tests showed that he had severe deficiencies in vitamins B1 and B12. After researching, he found that nearly half the population is lacking in B12 and D (just like me) and 25% is lacking in B6. Once Brandon began taking these vitamins, his energy soared! He had the wonderful idea to combine taking vitamins with the ritual of a morning cup of coffee so that the world would never forget to take their vitamins! Genius!
I love that the VitaCup coffee pods contain coffee from Fair Trade sources in regions of South and Central America and that every pod contains their special blend of vitamins – B1, B5, B6, B9, B12, D3, and antioxidants. The green tea also adds Matcha and Moringa to the mix of vitamins! Each product is free of gluten, dairy and soy! They are recyclable and each pod is vacuum sealed for freshness!
So, go grab yourself a cup of VitaCup coffee and feel even more energized to tackle your day!

Sounds nice! Did you use it while pregnant too? I will probably try the VitaCup. But I’d also like to know if keurigs in general are safe for pregnancy (and breastfeeding)? I’ve heard so much conflicting information on BPA in the equipment so it’s not safe but then others saying it’s really not that bad. And the FDA has changed their stance on BPA. I just don’t know what to believe. Can you (or someone else chiming in perhaps) give me an update on whether ok to use? Currently 19 weeks pregnant.
