I am totally that girl that always says I am going to eat healthy this year, exercise more, read my bible every day, etc. and I do great for a couple of months, but I always give up sometime in February. Exercising is a huge part of my life. I love to run because it helps me manage my stress and anxiety and I have been slowly starting back after I was cleared to exercise a couple of weeks ago. It has felt so good and has already made me feel so much better physically nd mentally. I do have a LONG way to go and a lot of weight to lose, but I am determined more than ever to try to focus on my diet.
Through the holidays, I did not hold back. I enjoyed my mother’s irresistible coffee punch, and all of the holiday treats and desserts and as a result have not lost any weight in weeks. It is a new year, there is a new Tone it Up challenge (that started Monday) and I am more determined than ever to get healthier this year. I am going to be really focusing on my diet in order to get healthy and set a healthy example for my babies. So my theme for this year’s goals is all about simplifying my life and getting healthier physically and mentally. Less stress ( we will see how this goes with my in-home day care), more veggies! Simple as that.
Life plans:
- Eat lean, clean and green MOST of the time.
- Clean out and get our home organized.
- Exercise daily, even if it is only for 10 minutes.
- Make more time for myself and date nights with Ryan.
- Take my kids on more adventures.
- Be more alert and attentive to my kids.
- Quality over quantity.
- Let loose a little more
`Blog goals:
- Reach 20k followers on Instagram.
- Carve out specific work hours.
- Organize my posts and home office.
- Take a photography class (any recommendations?)
- Clean up my Pinterest boards
- Simplify my work load and overall hours
There you have it! I am going to focus more on my kids and family and try to cut back in other areas of my life that may have been taking over my time. I am looking forward to organizing my life ( it is a constant work in progress) and I know our lives will be stressful and crazy to some degree because we have three kids 3 and under. Life is NEVER dull or boring. We will always be busy, but I want to channel more of my “busy” into the kids and be more present for them and Ryan. So, cheers to a new year and a healthier year.
Now a look back on 2016…`
It was a special year for us as we welcomed our third baby – Weston Thatcher – into the world. He is the sweetest baby boy and is making me smile constantly. Hampton turned three and we celebrated Sophie’s first birthday with family and friends and pink lemonade. She experienced her first Valentine’s day and Easter and Weston experienced his first Thanksgiving and Christmas. Hampton started school three days a week and is thriving. I’ve never seen him as happy as he is when I pick him up. He absolutely loves learning and is so smart. We moved into our new home after living with my parents for almost a year. That was such a blessing but we were so excited to be in our own home again. We have really enjoyed spending our first holiday in our new home and look forward to making many more memories in it this year. I am so excited to watch my babies grow up in this house. It truly feels like it is meant for us. It is more my style than any place I have lived in before and it it so nice having a playground right outside our door for our kids to play on!
