Darling Oh Deer

February 10, 2015

Head wraps c/o: Darling Oh Deer
If you weren’t already aware from this post, I have a slight obsession with Gilmore Girls, so this onesie was a must for our baby girl. I actually asked the shop to personalize this one to say Lorelai and Luke instead of Cory and Topanga, and it has seemed to really take off for her shop which is really exciting!  Until this past week, I had not bought our little girl anything pink. What? Crazy. Needless to say, I was really excited when these head wraps came in from Darling Oh Deer. Are they not perfect? This pink one is reversible with black polka dots on one side and solid pink on the other. I have a feeling she will get a lot of wear out of it.

Of course I had to get her a buffalo plaid head wrap for next fall/winter. I mean, she is my daughter. She must have plaid. I also picked her up one of my favorite childhood books this week. Madeline is a classic and is set in my favorite city in the world. Win/win in my book!

These goodies are making me really excited for her arrival. While we are still far from ready as far as her nursery and preparations, we are getting so much closer to playing endless dress up. I. Can’t. Wait. Less than 12 weeks and counting, little one.

Little Pistols

Sweater: Target Pants: Old Navy Moccasins: Little Pistols here

Hampton has been sick for the last week, so he was beyond ready to get outside as soon as he started feeling better. He braved the cold and all. He’s such an outdoorsman. haha

I was very excited to receive his new moccs from an Etsy shop that I came across a couple of weeks ago – Little Pistols. Not only to I love this shop and everything they have to offer, but I love Trista’s story behind these special handmade moccs. She was a teacher before she had her first child and quit teaching to be a SAHM. She is also a rancher’s wife, so the ranch life keeps her busy as well and her growing business. It has really grown and she is excited to reveal new styles and colors this year!

I love her selection, but I can’t tell you how wonderful the quality is. They are genuine leather and are so much more affordable than any other leather moccasins I have seen. I can’t wait to purchase a pair for my daughter! They are so affordable that you could also give them as gifts to friends and family without breaking your budget.

Hampton was a big fan of his new moccasins! He loves running around in them, chasing Pippa and climbing his new slide. Happy baby = happy mama! ๐Ÿ™‚

Be sure to check out Little Pistols on Etsy and Instagram!

24 Weeks // Mini Moccs and Bows

January 9, 2015

Moccasins: here // Bow: here

Baby girl is already getting spoiled. Not only did she get a few gifts for Christmas, but she got her first pair of moccasins this week! They are so tiny and adorable! She even got a matching bow. I mean, how could she  not? I came across Mini Moccs and Bows on Instagram (of course) and fell in love with their baby moccs. I am very pleased with the quality and I can’t wait to dress her up in them. They’ve got a few new styles available and even have a pair of leopard moccs! I am in love. Why didn’t anyone warn me that having a girl would break me? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Mini Moccs and Bows is so affordable. I will definitely be ordering from them in the future. Their baby bows and moccs would make a lovely baby gift as well.

How far along: 24 weeks tomorrow!

Size of baby:1 and 1/3 pound and 12 inches long!

Gender: Our sweet baby Girl!

Weight Gain: I officially hit the dreaded 10 lb. mark this week. I feel good and have been exercising a good bit and eating healthy, but I have a feeling those pounds are coming. I am 10 lbs. down from where I was with Hamp at this point which I am very thankful for.

Movement: She is moving all the time! She even wakes me up during the night. Ryan has felt her many times this week and he loves it!

Workouts: Love Your Body series has officially begun and I am doing really well so far. I am a little behind on my miles, but I am trying to catch up.

Sleep: I’m still sleeping okay.

Maternity Clothes: I’m still trying to mostly make due with what I’ve got. I am loving this maxi dress, though! It is so comfortable! You can read my review here.

Cravings: Still no cravings.

Favorite Moment This Week: We bought Hampton’s new bed! Huge step for his new room. The only problem is that it won’t be here for at least 6 more weeks. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted now that we have officially started planning his new room. Also, I went to the doctor yesterday and everything looked great. Baby girl’s heartbeat was 132 and she was moving all around. It makes me so happy and thankful to hear her little heart beating and knowing that she is healthy.

Looking Forward To: The weekend. We have had a busy week, and I am definitely ready to relax a little bit…and catch up on my miles. ๐Ÿ™‚

Last Minute Christmas-ing

December 24, 2014

Well I officially mailed out our last two Christmas cards yesterday morning. Raise your hand if you’re a super procrastinator! Today, I am wrapping a few last gifts and we are heading to a Christmas dinner at Ryan’s grandparent’s house. I can’t wait to see everyone!

Yesterday, my sweet blog friend, Sarah sent Hamp and little sister these adorable “Mommy’s Coffee Date” shirts! She has the cutest Etsy shop – Wake Me Up Designs, and you should definitely check it out!  I can’t say enough good things about her and her adorable little girl. Thank you, Sarah!

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy time with your family and loved ones. Drink lots of hot cocoa and cozy up by a fire. Open lots of presents, but don’t forget the reason for the season! My family has so much to be grateful for this year and we are looking so forward to welcoming our precious little girl in 2015. I am thankful for all of you who read and support my little blog. I am so grateful to you for taking the time to comment and share my posts, but also to those of you who read along and keep up with my little family. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!

Hampton’s Closet // Super Hero Shirt

November 18, 2014

Super Hero Shirt // Corduroy Pants – Old Navy similar // Converse

I’m in love with clothes that you don’t see every where. It is so hard to find unique items for Hamp because, let’s be honest, boys clothes are pretty standard where ever you shop. After visiting the Pike Road Arts and Crafts Fair a few weeks ago, I ran across a local online boutique that I fell in love with. Little Langs has so many unique designs like this little super hero shirt that I just couldn’t pass up! The quality is wonderful. Their shirts are so soft that I want one! As you can see, Hampton loves his new purchase as well!
Definitely check out their designs. I did not receive any payment or incentive for this post, I just love this boutique so much that I had to share it with all of you! ๐Ÿ™‚

le sigh

August 1, 2014

le sigh tee: wake me up designs here
shorts: target

This week has been a very strange one. Hampton woke up with the sniffles on Sunday and then Monday he woke up with a cold. He sounded terrible. It has been pretty pitiful. There is nothing worse than your child feeling sick. Tuesday morning, I woke up completely congested and feeling terrible. It was not great timing because I had to deep clean our entire house for a meeting that night with our new realtor.

If you remember, I talked earlier in the year about us putting our house up for sale. It has been on the market for over 6 months now. We haven’t had any bites, but we have had many showings. For the record, selling your house is not pleasant. It has been rather miserable trying to keep the house spotless with a 9 month old who is into everything and also working from home…with your husband who is now working from home. When our contract ran up with our other realtor, we decided to search for a new one. While I am very confident in our new realtor, I’m not confident in this housing market. Since we put our house up for sale, 10 others have gone up in our neighborhood. Not great odds. It’s been a stressful and long process and we are really ready for it to be over. We need a larger house with a little bit more space and an office so that we don’t have to work on our coffee table anymore. It’s not ideal. I know that God’s timing is perfect and I am trying to be patient and know that it will sell when it’s supposed to. Until then, I’m just going to keep swimming and make it better with a lot of prayerย andย a little retail therapy. Swoon.

Hampton and I are feeling much better today, and I am looking forward to a semi-quiet weekend with my sister who is coming to stay with us tonight! I can’t wait to see her and have some much needed sissy time!

Baby OOTD // Wake Me Up Designs

February 10, 2014

Mornings with my little bubby are so priceless to me. It is my favorite time of day. He is so happy and loves to play while I drink my coffee and make out my schedule/lists for the day.

My sweet bloggy friend, Sarah from Whimsical Minutes has recently opened an Etsy shop called Wake Me Up Designs. She sells coffee mugs that can be personalized and has recently started adding other products to her shop. Right now she has this adorable “Mommy’s Coffee Date” tee-shirt and also has a matching mug! When I saw the tee-shirt, this coffee obsessed mommy had to have it for Hamp. She is going to add more shirt designs for babies and toddlers soon. Sarah also made me this personalized tee-pee mug that I absolutely adore! It made our morning a little more special.

Sarah is offering my readers a discount to her shop by using this code: sscblove
