I have worn glasses since kindergarten. Yep, I was THAT kid…frizzy hair, glasses, blah, blah, blah. I have worn contacts since I was 12 years old and prefer to wear them over glasses most of the time, but sometimes my eyes need a break. They get tired, too. When Firmoo contacted me to review a pair of their glasses, I literally had zero expectations. Like most people, I have ordered glasses online before and they were cheap and fell apart within a couple of months. It was a disappointing experience. HOWEVER, when I received my glasses from Firmoo, I was extremely impressed with the quality.
I’ve been wanting some “Zooey Dechanel” glasses for a while now because (aside from Lorelei Gilmore) she is my idol. I love her. So of course I chose these…
A few weeks ago, I promised I’d post my mother’s coveted coffee punch recipe in my Sunday Social post. I can promise you, you will fall in love. I can’t ever get enough of this coffee punch. She makes it for our Christmas party every year, and for my family on Christmas morning. Okay, on to the recipe…
Ingredients:
1) 2oz. jar of instant coffee (decaf or caffeinated)
1) gallon of milk (we use 2% for this recipe)
1) 16oz. can of Hershey’s chocolate syrup
1) half gallon of french vanilla ice cream
(optional) 1/4 cup of sugar (we only use this sometimes, it is pretty sweet without it).
Directions:
Pour instant coffee into a large bowl. Boil about a cup and a half of water and pour it over the coffee, stir to dissolve. Slowly pour in chocolate syrup and milk. Stir well. Scoop 6 to 8 scoops of ice cream and plop it in the bowl. Refrigerate until you are ready to serve. Ice cream will melt on top and make it extra delicious. Before serving, put a few more scoops of ice cream in the punch. Ta Da! Done! and enjoy…
This is my favorite “holiday” drink, although I could possibly drink it every day.
WARNING: you may gain 10lbs.
Every year, my parents host a Christmas party for our entire family. There are quite a few of us so it is always really crazy, loud and so much fun. We normally vote on a theme each year (tacky, pj, etc.) but this year, the girls wanted to do tacky while the boys wanted PJ’s, so my genius cousin came up with the idea to do Tacky PJ! Ergo:

It’s Wednesday which means I’m linking up with Michelle for another week of Pinterest fun!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you all had a Merry Christmas!
Today, Ryan and I are laying around in our PJ’s, watching Christmas movies all day. Tonight we are planning to go look at Christmas lights, and then open our gifts to each other (Eekk).

What is your favorite smell?
– Man this is so hard… I love the smell of books – old and new – Peppermint, anything Christmas-y, Coffee, BBW Christmas scented candles, and I could go on and on.
– Last years Target commercials were the first that came to mind…
What is your favorite day of the week?

What is your favorite way to waste time?

What is your favorite article of clothing?
– I have a very slouchy relaxed wardrobe, but my favorite article of clothing has to be my skinny jeans because you can dress them up or down with accessories and I wear them all the time.
Have a wonderful Sunday and a Merry Christmas!!
A few weeks ago, I signed up to participate in my first ever ornament swap. Little did I know, I would make such a precious friend. Over the past few weeks I have gotten to know Barb who blogs over at One Love One Life One Family. She is such a precious person and that came out through her gift. Barb truly went above and beyond. Not only did she buy me a Starbucks ornament (which was all too perfect for me) but she also MADE an ornament, bought me a Starbucks gift card, and Christmas tissues. How thoughtful is she? Please stop by her blog and say hi!
Thanks again, Barb!
