Happy Monday, friends! We have had the craziest week! Ryan was out of town last week, I have STILL been sick and poor Pippa is still at the vet. She is improving, but she is very sick. My kids threw my laptop and it has not been working right (since my lack of posting over the last few days) and our house is disgusting after Pippa’s sickness. Not to worry, we have carpet cleaners coming. Until then, I am wearing shoes in my house. All the time. We also had the boys’ Lumberjack party at the pumpkin patch this weekend! THAT was my highlight and saving grace of the entire week. Spending time with friends and family and getting my mind off of all of the craziness of the week was just what the doctor ordered.

Despite all of the chaos, I am so thankful that Pippa is going to be okay and that the boys had a great birthday party. Hampton has been talking about his lumberjack party for the last two months and his face was priceless that day. He lit up when he saw his friends, cousins, presents and cake. He loves the pumpkin patch and so it was perfect. We also celebrated my little Weston who is turning one this Friday! I can not believe it. His first year has gone by so fast. It has been mostly a blur, but we have had the most amazing year and it has been full of blessings. A new house that we have turned into a home. New friends and the best neighbors. A healthy family. A new job. The blessings are overflowing when you look around you and focus on the positive things. My sweet Weston brings out the best in all of us. He has the sweetest temperament and is so chill and just precious. His smile lights up the room. We are all smitten with him. More on that little guy later this week. For now, I want to share our fun little party!
We kept it simple by having hotdogs, chips and dip and cupcakes. I ordered plain white cupcakes and then ordered the buffalo plaid liners and little trees to put on top – both from Amazon. I also bought the banners last summer at Hobby Lobby. I’m not sure if they still have them or not.
The pumpkin patch was the perfect setting for a fall party. The lumberjack party itself was in the barn which was rustic and so nice. We enjoyed picking pumpkins with friends and the kids got to slide and play in the bouncy house, pet the farm animals and even hold a 2 week old piglet! We rode the cow train and hay ride and enjoy being with the ones we love the most – celebrating our sweet boys. I can’t believe my Hamp is 4 years old. It doesn’t feel like we have been on this parenting journey for 4 years, but here we are. It has gone by so fast.
Happiest of birthdays to my Hampton and Weston!

What an insane week! I am glad you had this party to help forget about. My good friends had a lumberjack party for they’re one-year-old too! It was the cutest thing. I love this theme!
