Postpartum weight loss can be really tricky. Getting back in shape this time around has been so much harder than after my first two pregnancies. The weight seemed to come right off in the first couple of months with the exception of those last 5 to 10 pounds that I had to start working to get off. This time my body has been completely different. My pregnancy was harder as far as aches and pains that were pretty much 24/7 towards the end. My aches and pains have not gone away. My body is taking a lot longer to heal this time and so my workouts have been a huge struggle.
Favorite Tools for Postpartum Weight Loss:
Last week, I went back to my tried and true way of losing weight. Nursing alone has not helped me lose weight this time, so I knew it was time to shake things up. The My Fitness Pal app is my favorite for keeping track of calories consumed. I began logging everything in it again which makes me aware of how much I am consuming. It allows me to make sure I am eating enough to support my milk while not going overboard. It has been my absolute favorite app to use when it comes to postpartum weight loss.
The second thing that has helped me has been the Misfit Ray Fitness Tracker. I am obsessed with this tracker for two reasons: It is much more stylish than other fitness trackers I have tried in the past and it is completely water proof! I can wear it in the bath tub, swimming, shower, washing dishes, etc. Therefore it really count ever calorie that I am burning throughout the day and night. It also keeps track of my sleep patterns which have been pretty pitiful lately as you can imagine. Getting up to feed Weston three times a night has been tough and exhausting and this track has definitely reflected that.
Since using both of these for a little over a week now, I have finally started losing weight. Using both of these tools while doing my daily Tone it Up workouts (they’re free, so check them out) has definitely set me up for success! I still have 15 lbs. to go to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but I have a feeing that if I keep up with it as I have this past week, I will be able to get it off.
Sounds like you have got it going on to get back in shape after that baby. I wish you lots of luck in getting back to where you want to be.

I used to use the FitBit (also waterproof), but that didnt track my sleep. I mean…what little sleep I am getting! haha… Good luck with the continued weight loss and thanks for these great tips!

So sorry to hear that it’s been harder this time to lose weight than the others! I love your motivation and just keep it up! Slow and steady wins the race!! That is a very stylish fitness tracker (:
That fitness tracker is very stylish, and I love that it’s waterproof. The one thing that I don’t like about my Charge 2 is that it’s not waterproof, but I wanted the heart rate monitor aspect. Wishing you the best with your weight loss goals.

Losing that baby weight is never fun – this looks like a great way to try. Technology can be so great sometimes.

Great post. I know age has a alot to do with it also. My friend closer to her 40s did not loose as easily as she did on her 20s. Keep it up! Your doing great.

I like that fitness tracker. I used to have a fit bit and my main issue with it was that it was ugly. It just didn’t work with any outfit. This one looks stylish.

I am having such a hard time losing the weight since baby in August. No matter what I do I seem to be gaining it like crazy… I will have to check out this tracker!

I’m trying to save up the moment for a fitness tracker. I love the look of them. I need to loose weight. xx
I have used a Misfit Shine in the past and it was really nice. I have a Fitbit now, which I like because you can read the time and steps right there on the band.
Trying to shed baby weight is so tough. I love your fitness tracker. You’re right, it is so much more stylish than others on the market.

Breastfeeding never worked for me either. I had to sweat the hard way. You’re right, that is the most stylish fitness tracker I’ve ever seen. Thanks for the free daily tone-up workouts too!

I’ve been dying to get a fitness tracker like this! I’m about two years postpartum and I still have some weight to get off. Things got crazy this year with my youngests health so weight and everything else got put on hold.

I used to own Misfit and I loved their app but I’m a fitbit kind of girl right now. Even though I don’t have kids I decided to make a fitness statement this year and walk 10,000 steps a day. It’s been about two weeks and as of now I made my goal! I’m so happy seeing you achieving great results too!!!
Weight loss can be tricky, especially as you get older! I use fitness apps like Fitness Pal and love how I can keep track of everything from my calorie intake to how many steps I walk per day. – HilLesha

I love the tools you use. I’ve been thinking about a fitbit or a tracker of some kind for a while, but then I just figure I won’t wear it and I need to go walk around the block a few times haha! I love your tips though, and I think the older I’ve gotten the harder it’s gotten for me to lose weight. My boyfriend loses weight overnight, and I’m over here eating rice cakes not losing a pound LOL! xx adaatude.com
That’s awesome that it is waterproof. I am thinking of getting a tracker.

I’ve been on the fence about buying a tracker on one hand it may motivate me to be more active, on the other I may just shake my arm around to trick it.
