A couple of weeks ago, I shared with you guys that I am trying to make more healthy choices in my daily routine and diet. So far, this has been going really well, but I have definitely stumbled a few times. Hey, I’m only human with a huge sweet tooth. So, today when I realized I ate a terrible lunch but was already hungry again, I opted for my go-to. Hello, Smoothie King’s Apple kiwi Kale Smoothie! I am so obsessed with their vegetable blend smoothies. They are delicious and who wouldn’t want to drink a heavenly smoothie on a warm spring (that feels like summer) day all while tricking your mind to think you are drinking a desert and you’re really drinking fruits and vegetables! It’s a win-win! Especially when you can drink it with a $2.99 coupon!
My sister moved back home for the summer over the weekend, so our full house just got a lot fuller (is that a word?) Because we had to make room for her to, you know, live, they the men folks moved the treadmill upstairs to where we are currently residing and it has been AWESOME! Exercise made convenient! Not only do my seasonal allergies appreciate not having to run outside, I have been able to do more and longer distances because of the convenience of it. It has been easier to make myself get up and move. Also, the TIU bikini series is 3 weeks in and I am going…sort of strong. I’ve completely missed a couple of days, but the fact that I am breathing like a 500 pound man during every workout tells me I am so out of shape and it makes me want to work that much harder.
I’ve made it a point to add more vegetables and fruits into my diet as well as walk at least 10,000 steps and do my daily TIU workouts. This has made me feel like a new woman. Seriously. I feel like myself again and that has made me very happy! So, if you need me, I’ll be over here drinking’ my smoothie!
