Valentine’s Day is THIS WEEK, y’all! I rounded up some of my favorite gift ideas for the entire family that are all available with prime shipping! Ryan and I don’t really do gifts on Valentine’s Day, but I feel like if we did, we would keep it pretty low key, so I tried to find things that are very budget friendly, but still make really great gifts! Some of these I have and love and others are on my personal wish list! Also, if you have a pregnant wifey or galentine this year, go ahead and buy her this. She will love you forever, trust me! Be sure to order your Valentine’s day gifts by EOD tomorrow to get them in time for the big day!
Valentine’s day is just around the corner and Ryan and I definitely spend February 14th at home these days. Not only do we both agree on avoiding the crowds, we also have 3 kids under 5 with another one on the way. That makes going out very difficult and very expensive. We definitely do not let that stop us from making the most of our evenings and finding creative ways to have fun from time to time. We haven’t quite decided what we want to do this year for Valentine’s day, but last year we played 20 questions and learned so much about one another. It was actually really fun. We ended the evening with a movie and popcorn. Here are a few ideas for at home date ideas for those of you who are in the same boat as us!
This has been a highly requested post by some of my IG followers and friends, so I am super excited to share this year’s Valentine’s day gift guide with you! I tend to struggle with Valentine’s Day because it is so soon after Christmas and Ryan and I don’t typically exchange gifts…other than candy. haha I never refuse candy! I have a hard time thinking of anything I really want or need this time of year, but I hope that you find some goodies to add to your wish list below! Feel free to send all husbands and boyfriends to this post! 😉
Happy Friday! I thought it would never get here! One of my favorite things about Saturdays are that we don’t have to get up and go first thing in the morning. I enjoy taking my time with my cup of coffee and staying in my pjs for most of the morning (if I’m lucky). This is the last weekend before Valentine’s day and I am going to be rushing around trying to get everything for my man, babies and their class parties. I’m also going to figure out our plans for the big day. We are all about keeping things casual, which is where this east outfit comes in. I am all about a good sweater, but this one takes the cake. Bell sleeves, pink and gray stripes and super soft material? Yes, yes and yes! I have officially found the perfect Valentine’s Day sweater!
Give me all the pink and red this Valentine’s day! These days, staying in and celebrating at home is much easier (and the way we prefer) because…kids. Normally by 7p.m. we are exhausted and ready to chill, so going out rarely sounds exciting. Just being honest, even if that does sound lame. I’ll take a romantic homemade dinner and Netflix over a crowded restaurant and forking out money for a babysitter any night. This Valentines day, we will be staying in, but whether you are going out on the town, to a fancy restaurant, or staying in your pjs, I have put together the most perfect and affordable Valentine outfits for you!
Valentine’s Day. A day to celebrate love! It is still one of my favorite holidays, not because of the mushy lovey dove stuff, but because I love to celebrate a good thing, and love is definitely something worth celebrating. I love to celebrate my husband and my babies but also friends, because they are so important. So, whether you are gifting a little young’n in your life, your main squeeze, or your best friend I’ve got you covered! I tried to find affordable gifts, but I did include a couple of splurges if you are wanting (or needing) to splurge this year. Quite a few of these have even been majorly discounted, so you will find some good buys!
Our Valentine’s Day was nothing special this year. It was any ordinary Tuesday. Hampton went to school and enjoyed his Valentine’s Day party and that made me so happy. The boys have been feeling sickly again this week, so we got outside in the beautiful weather and played…and played and played. We walked and talked and played golf and went to the playground and I wouldn’t have traded it for the world. I even let the kids pig out on a little candy with me. It was a treat for us all!
Who doesn’t love Valentine’s day? Any day I get to celebrate my love is a good day in my book! Plus, there is normally a date night which is rare for us these days and a box of chocolates of flowers included which is double awesome! Really, though I have always loved Valentin’s day because my mom always made it special for us growing up and I remember always having a brown paper bag in my classroom growing up and we would all bring special Valentine’s to all of our friends at school. It was so fun and I always loved reading them and even saved them for a long time until I was a borderline V-day hoarder.
I love putting together gift guides because it gives me a good excuse to do a little online shopping and perusing! I have put together some of my favorite gifts for Valentine’s day. Personally, we normally keep it simple, but if you are more of a diamond girl/guy shopping for your girl, then go for it! Otherwise, this list is for you!
We had such a fun weekend. We started off Valentine’s day weekend by going to Ryan’s uncle’s farm with the kiddos. They just had baby goats that were only 5 days old so, of course, we had to go love on them. They were adorable! After that we went out to my grandparent’s house to see my cousins who were in town and really enjoyed spending time with all of them. Sunday was a super chill and relaxed day. We were all so tired from a really busy day Saturday so we crashed and watched movies after church while the kids napped.
I love Valentine’s Day. I remember growing up that we always received candy and a small gift from my parents on Valentine’s Day morning and my siblings and I always enjoyed picking out our Valentine’s Day cards to pass out to our classmates and friends. We would decorate little brown bags and each child would receive a Valentine from all of their classmates. It was something I always looked forward to. Do kids still do that at school? I sure hope so!
