While we were in Jacksonville last week, Ryan and I got away for a couple of hours and went out for coffee and did a little shopping. When in Jacksonville, we always make a point to go to Nordstrom because we do not live near one. It’s always a lot of fun seeing the brands and things that I’ve been eyeing online, in person. I also like being able to try things on to see how they fit. This trip was a successful one and there are so many cute things in the store right now. I was on a major budget because I am already saving for the Anniversary Sale next month, but it was not a completely wasted trip. I tried on a few things in the Nordstrom dressing room that were too adorable not to snag. Now, on to the try-on!
Nordstrom Dressing Room Try-On:
This dress was only available in a Medium in the store, but I loved it so much that I went home and ordered it in my size. It runs a little big, so if you are between sizes, go down one. I love the chambray stripes and the big pockets. It is perfect for all of summer’s festivities! I think it would be cute for the 4th of July paired with a cute headband or hair scarf, or just how I’m wearing it here with white sandals. You obviously need to wear a strapless bra with this one, not a bralette. haha It is so adorable and I love it!
Graphic Tee // Denim Shorts // Sandals
This graphic tee!! I mean, could it be more perfect? I love the color and the way the sleeves roll up a little adds such a cute detail to it. It’s like a cross between muscle tank and tee. Sometimes, I do feel like I’m “doing it for the gram” so this tee made me laugh, but it’s also my life. It came home with me in a Medium. It does run a little small, so I sized up for a looser fit.
This tee is so adorable, but I passed on it because I have way too many white tops in my closet right now. I haven’t quit thinking about it, though. It is so adorable and I love the flare out at the bottom. It is a little see-through, but not too bad. I think as long as you wear a nude bra, it will be fine. This one fits TTS. I’m in a Small.
The denim shorts are the Levi’s 501 shorts and I have been dying to try this style to see how they fit. I absolutely love the fit, but these were a little short on me. I did notice that they have a “long” version (here) that I may try when we go back next month! If you are under 5’4 I think these would be a great option for you!
This is actually the tank I wore there, but it is my all-time favorite! I have these tanks in stripes, white, gray, black and hot pink. They are so so good. I literally wear them nearly every day in the summer. The shorts are a dream. I absolutely love them – the color, fit, everything. They were a little on the pricey side, in my opinion for paper bag shorts and I purchased some similar at Target for a lot cheaper a while back, so I passed on them. They are so adorable, though! Also, can we talk about how awesome the lighting is in the Nordstrom dressing room? It makes me look much more tan than I am. haha
This. This was by far the favorite from the day! This jumpsuit fits like a dream and looks good on so many body types. When I tried it on, the sales girl also tried it on and loved it and we have very different body types, but it looked great on her as well. I will be styling this jumpsuit three ways for y’all on Thursday, so be sure to come back and check it out! I love it by itself like this, too, so really, you will be seeing it 4 ways.
As always, these sandals have been my go to this summer. I switch between these, my birkenstocks and my TB Miller Sandals and can’t get enough of all three. They fit TTS and go with everything!
I hope you enjoyed my little try-on! My next Nordstrom dressing room try-on/haul will be next month during the #nsale so be sure to stay in touch because I’ll be covering all the goodness of the sale! While you’re at it, if you are super into sales and need to stock up on summer essentials, sandals, dresses, etc., Nordstrom has marked down a bunch of their current styles and popular items from the season! Check it out here!
