Did you know there is a National Learn to Swim Day? That’s really not that surprising because there is pretty much a day for everything now. I really love this day, however, because it promotes water safety! It is coming at a good time for us, too, because we are teaching our two oldest kids how to swim this summer, and Weston will not be far behind them! National Learn to Swim Day is on the third Saturday in May each year and was started by Swimways. This year it falls on May 19th!
We went to our neighborhood pool for the first time this year over the weekend and, let me tell you, it was freezing! We didn’t last long, but if the weather keeps being as beautiful as it was, it will be the perfect temperature in a couple of weeks! It took us a while to get used to the water, but once we did, it was very enjoyable! I am so looking forward to endless pool days with my babies this summer! We really used our pool and loved it last year. I know this year will be the same.
We are planning to teach the kids to swim, and by “we” I mean Ryan. He was a life guard for years and knows all the ins and outs of teaching kids the basics of swimming. Teaching them to swim is so important for their safety, and this year, it is at the top of our list. This mama does not want an accident.
Swimways is an industry leader in water safety and teaching children how to swim – hence the fact that they founded National Learn to Swim day in 2012. They are dedicated to educating parents and children on water safety and the importance of learning how to swim. The Baby Spring Float Sun Canopy for ages 9-24 months is the #1 best-selling baby float in the United States and consistently receives 4 and 5 star ratings by consumers. If you’re anything like me, you read and read those reviews before buying anything. They are so helpful!
This float has a large circumference and patented inner spring around the outside for added stability. The fabric-covered inflation and soft mesh seat make it comfortable for your baby while maintaining it’s durability. There are safety valves and dual air chambers for more security and an adjustable and removable canopy with 50+ UPF sun protection. There is a mesh play space for toys and splashing which Weston loved the most! He loves to splash! My favorite part about this float is how easy it was to unfold and fold flat again into a compact circle for easy transport and storage! It comes with a carry bag and it all easily fits in my pool bag!
Weston loved his new float and I know we will get a lot of use out of it this summer! You can grab a Baby Spring Float Sun Canopy for yourself at Target!
