We have all been super sick for the last couple of weeks. One by one, we have all caught it and it doesn’t seem to want to go away. Unfortunately, this is the worst timing for sickness because Hampton’s birthday is tomorrow and we have the boy’s party this weekend. I’m also doing it solo this week, so theres that. Send lots of prayers over our way, friends! One thing I like to do when the kids are tired of resting but still obviously feel bad is think of easy activities for toddlers that won’t make them over do it.
Easy Activities for Toddlers When They’re Sick:
Take them for a walk in the stroller. Fresh air does everyone good! It gets them out of the house without over doing it and gets that good clean air in their lungs! Bonus point: it also gets you moving! 😉
Have a tea party! – Miss Sophie loves all things Belle and we love coming u with excuses to have tea parties with her tea cart that she got from Santa last year!
Play-dough is so fun! If you want a mess-free and easy way to play with it for younger kids, pull out your cookie sheets and get some cookie cutters out to make fun shapes! It is so easy and mess free!
Coloring Books/Activity Books – Hamp is really into activity books right now. He loves tracing number and letters and practicing them on his own. These keep him busy for hours. This is one of our favorites!
Play a game like I-Spy – This game honestly doesn’t last long in our house, but my kids love playing…for a minute.
Legos – These are my best friend. All three of my kids love building and knocking down legos. The same goes for our Magnetic Shapes! They are so great for rainy days or sick days indoors!
Bath Time – Letting them take an extra long bath makes them feel good and washes away all those germs. I like to let the kids play with their bath paints and Hamp loves to pull out his shaving kit for sick days where we take long baths just for fun!
And when all else fails: Movies on repeat!

Oh I really feel for you and what a shame for this to happen during a birthday! This list is very helpful and I will remember your tips when Jonah is poorly.
