Weston is 5 months old, guys. FIVE. I can’t believe it. Lately, his favorite things include eating, tummy time, eating, his Lamaze Mix and Match Caterpillar, and eating some more. He is starting to tuck his knees up under him during tummy time and pushes all the way up on his arms. I am definitely not ready for another baby on the loose around here, but it is coming, and soon, I have a feeling. Lamaze Toys sent him some new toys last week and he has really become fond of them. Like most new toys, they have made playtime so much fun and have been great for his development!
Lamaze Toys promote healthy development for babies and kids. The Mix and Match Caterpillar and Classic Discovery Book are perfect for his age. He loves teething on the book and it easily clips to his stroller or car seat so we can take it with us on the go! The Mix and Match Caterpillar is also really fun! The plush pieces velcro and make it fun to take apart and put together. Even my older toddlers have enjoyed playing with it.
Weston is definitely a momma’s boy right now (maybe because I’m still nursing?) and he is very attached to me. Finding things to do with him throughout the day is hard sometimes, but I love sitting down with him and playing or reading to him. Just like his older siblings, he loves to be read to. Playtime for us is special because I know all too well how quickly he will grow out of this stage and go into a new one. I know that playtime, for him, is also very healthy for his development. Isn’t it amazing how much they learn in that first year?

My daughter had a few books very similar to that one and loved them! I loved that they could go in the diaper bag and clip onto car seats or strollers. A great way to get kids started with books at an early age!

We loved the Lamaze caterpillar when my guy was younger! And any toys that clip onto the car seat or stroller are fantastic. We had some Usborne stroller books that were his favorite!
