Family Beach Trip 2016

August 23, 2016

Last week we took our family of four (and a half) to Destin, Florida with some of our best friends and their little girl! It was so bittersweet taking one last family beach trip as a family of four. With me being 28 (almost 29) weeks pregnant, I doubt we will be doing a lot more traveling this year. We had so much fun, but I will say, when beaching it with kids, it is definitely more of a trip than a vacation. Camp decided he didn’t like the sand and water this year, while Sophie wouldn’t quit eating the sand. So, you know. Early naps and lots of snacks got us through the days.

My friend and I left the kids with the husbands one night and we shopping and out to eat. It was definitely the highlight of my trip. Just getting away from everything for a couple of hours and having a conversation with another adult was so nice and made me feel like a human again. We had too much fun!

Hula Outfit: c/o Cozy Nooks

How adorable is my little hula girl? I die. Cozy Nooks sent us this adorable little outfit just in time for our trip and she looked so cute in it on the beach!

The husbands played a round of golf and there was a bit of a tragic moment when Ryan slice his finger and had to get 5 stitches, but all in all it was a great trip. We did talk about hiring a nanny or leaving the kids at home for our next trip so that it will be more of a vacation, but we will see!

Places to visit if you ever visit Destin are the 30A area and The Warf. We ate at the Warf one night and didn’t make it to 30A this trip, but it is always so much fun and there is always something fun to do and great restaurants.
