I am 20 weeks pregnant now, and in some ways this pregnancy has flown by, but in the last two weeks, it has come to a screeching halt. I talked a little bit about my complications last week and about moderate bedrest yesterday and let me tell you, while I am thankful I’m not on full bedrest (yet, anyway), I am not enjoying not being able to lift my babies or run in the yard with them. I’m not enjoying not being able to go many places and having to be really careful when I do. I am already tired of “laying around” and it has made these last two weeks slow to snail speed. I am praying so hard that this placenta previa resolves itself in the next couple of months so that I can get back to business as usual.
I am thankful that my baby boy is very healthy and is constantly moving now. I’ve been feeling him move around more and more every day. Those movements are so reassuring to me. Now, it is my job to keep him in as long as I possibly can and I am trying to take that job very seriously. I am also getting very excited to meet him and starting to try to prepare for his arrival. Getting as much done now while I can is at the top of my priorities. The biggest challenge is the fact that we will be moving into our new house around my due date. So, preparing a nursery will not happen until after he arrives. I can, however, go ahead and buy the things I need so that all I have to do is pull it all together after the move!
Speaking of the big move, we are so excited to meet with the builders today to pick out our granite countertops, tile, hardwood, etc. I am still pinching myself that this is happening. We are so so excited. I am just praying that I can tap into the Pinterest gods when choosing everything and that it is cohesive.
Here’s to hoping the rest of this pregnancy flies by and I can get it all done and have a happy full-term baby boy in the end! Also, Amazon Prime is my new best friend. #GiveMeAllTheBooks #AndBabyThings

I found it amazing how one moment things seemed to be flying by when pregnant, then it felt like I would be pregnant FOREVER! Here’s to hoping everything goes smoothly for the rest of it!

First off, I LOVE your adorable gender reveal! The snow cone idea is too cute. I’m so sorry you’ve been having trouble! I’m 16 weeks, and every time I go to the bathroom I’m worried I’ll see red. I’m sure that was so scary. Hopefully everything will get well soon so you can get back to life as usual. So exciting to be putting together your house at the same time! I bet it’s fun to pick all that stuff, although I would feel the same way – a bit nervous about how to put everything together. I’m sure it will be beautiful 🙂
