A Morning Routine For A Productive Day

February 8, 2016

Lately, our morning routine has changed tremendously. We used to sleep in as much as possible because we would be up alf the night with one of our babies, but now that they are both sleeping through the night, we have started waking up earlier. I love waking up before the kids because it is so peaceful and I can get a lot done in a short amount of time. It is also the only time I really have to pamper myself and plan for a productive day.

Morning Routine for a Productive Day

My morning routine is simple, but so important for me as a mother. It has become the only “me time” I can get lately and that is vital to my sanity. I’ve been working during nap time and at night after the kids go to sleep. That is also the time I do laundry and clean the house up, so the early mornings are the perfect time for me to soak up the morning sun and breathe.

Biore Biore-Scrub Morning Routine

A Morning Routine for a Productive Day:

Wake up around 6 a.m.

Make the coffee

Brush my teeth

Wash my face

Get dressed and put on make-up

Enjoy my cup of coffee on the porch or on the couch

Make the day’s to-do list

The other day when I was shopping at Walmart for some cleaning products (hello, spring cleaning!), I stumbled on the new Bioré Baking Soda Cleanser and Bioré Baking Soda Pore Scrub! I have been trying to do a better job of cleaning my face every day (not just removing the make-up) since I had Sophie because my breakouts have been out of control again. I was intrigued by this product because it is specifically for combination skin! I tried it out and I am hooked! I blame the fizz! It makes washing my face less of a chore and something I actually look forward to in the mornings. I love the powder form – first to mass technology. I feel like I am not over-using it like I tend to do with other face cleansers.

Biome Face Scrub

How To Use It:

I simply wet my face with some good ole H2O and start scrubbing with a dab of powder and it immediately starts to exfoliate and foam up to a fresh feeling cleanser. It has worked great for my combination skin and makes my face feel so smooth. My skin feels clean and this scrub really helps to wake me up in the mornings.

Productive Day

Feeling clean and making a to-do list helps me to be really productive. I can tell a huge difference in the way I feel on days when I stay in my PJs and days that I get up, dressed and going. I get so much more accomplished and I feel so much better. Every mom needs to have a little “me time” and mornings have been working best for me and our schedule. So, for now, I will continue to pamper myself and enjoy all the coffee during my sacred early mornings.

What do you think of the NEW Bioré Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub? Who wants to try it?

I have a similar early morning routine, but I’ve never tried these products. I’m running low on what I’m currently using, and may give these a try. Thanks!

Your skin looks fabulous and the only reason that I know baking powder is good for your skin is because I was googling tips to get rid of spots and adding water to baking powder and making it a paste reduces redness.

Hi Logan! I’m a college student so it can be so easy to stay in bed until 8, 9, 10 or even later. But I’ve found that on the mornings I make a point to get up early, I can get so much more done.

I love that you posted your morning routine! It gives me some great routine-spiration for me mornings! https://candacephinnergardt.wordpress.com/

I love Biore! My mornings start early as well – 5:15. This give me one hour to myself – well , I still have the doggies needing to be fed. And the cat meowing. Oh well – it is mostly quiet.

First, I have to say, I love your daughter’s name Sophie…that is my daughter’s name as well! I have never heard of baking soda face cleanser, but I would be curious to try it. I use baking soda a lot to clean with because I like using natural products vs harsh cleaners.

I work at home so I look pretty bad in the mornings. I get up at 630, kids to school at 650, and start working at 7. Unless I have to go somewhere I’m not putting makeup on LOL. I do shower though.

I love getting up earlier than the rest of my family. It makes me feel like I actually have a little bit of time to myself, which is SO important! I’ve been using plain baking soda to exfoliate my face for years and love it. So I imagine the Biore products are great choices.
