It snowed in my hometown for the first time in 4 years over the weekend! It wasn’t much, but it was still so fun! Watching my babies discover the snow for the first time was precious and hilarious. Weston loved it and was very curious about it, but Sophie screamed as soon as she touched it because it was “cold.” Bless her little heart. Hampton warmed up to it pretty quick once our neighborhood kids all started a big snowball fight – which he was all about! Our fun didn’t last long because it was all melted by lunch and we were left with muddy slush. BUT, it was pretty and fun while it lasted and we are so thankful for that magical day. Now on to some GREEN MONDAY sales!!
Recent Outfits and Weekend Sales
I have not done an old school OOTD (outfit of the day) post in a while, so I thought I would do one today because, why not? I love sharing my outfits and figure I might bring back the old fashioned #ootd posts. What do you think? There are some great weekend sales going on as well and I will share my favorites at the bottom of the post if you are interested in doing a little shopping for yourself or for Christmas gifts. No judgement here!
Recent Outfits:
This first outfit is one that I wore yesterday! I am in love with this sweater (on sale) and the jacket is a must! It is amazing quality (suede) and so gorgeous (also on sale)! I wore it to run errands and take the kids to school. It was perfect for the cooler weather!
Oh, Deer!
My family loves all things deer. All the men in my family hunt and we always had deer heads hanging on our walls, growing up. I realize this may be controversial or foreign to some of you, but in Alabama, it is extremely common. My mom always had lots of deer mixed in our decor – especially at Christmastime! I love continuing the tradition in our home! While Ryan does not hunt and we do not have deer heads on our walls, I do love adding deer decor where I can. When I saw these deer sweaters, I had to have them for Sophie and me! They are two of my favorite colors and both have the sweetest deer on them!

Hearth and Hand Favorites and Weekend Sales
Who else has been anxiously awaiting the Hearth and Hand by Magnolia collection at Target? Two of my favorite companies coming together. What could be better? I must admit that I did not expect the collection to be mostly holiday, but it make sense because of the time of year, I suppose. I have rounded up some of my favorites and will be sharing what I have purchased on Insta Stories later today, so be sure to go check it out! If you hang with me until the bottom of the post, I will also share some sales you can not miss this weekend.
Last year, I waited until Black Friday to do most of my shopping in case there was a better deal that day, but because I ignored the amazing sales leading up to that day, a lot of the things on my list were already sold out. Do not let that happen to you! If you are able, I would go ahead and be shopping because the sales are already so good! Be sure to get the specific things you want, now, before they sell out.

Super Bowl Weekend
This weekend was pretty boring to be honest. I did some laundry and we moved the rest of our stuff out of my parent’s house, so we have been unpacking again. Sigh. Sunday, we went to church and it was, of course, super bowl weekend. We do not have an NFL team in Alabama, so the closest team to us is the Atlanta Falcons. We were excited to see them in the game, but to be honest, I just watch the super bowl for the commercials and halftime show. Of course, there is always the food, too! Game day food is the best!

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas
Christmas is finally here! My kids ( mostly Hamp) are so excited this year which is making it even more fun than it normally is! Hampton is so into every detail. He wanted to decorate the tree “by himself” #threenager, and he loves turning the lights on every night! Sophie has learned a thing or two from watching him. I walked into her eating one of my Auburn ornaments. Yes, eating it. Things are looking up, through. She is now only pulling the ornaments off the tree and no longer eating them. Baby steps, people.

21 Questions and Happy Friday
This week has been a little weird with the crazy weather. We had to move back some of our plans which have made the last 2 days completely insane. Needless to say, I am happy it is Friday and I am ready to head down south to celebrate some very special twins who are due to arrive in a couple of months and spend time with family and friends! For now though, Samantha tagged me in 21 Questions a couple of weeks ago so I thought today would be a fun day to answer these random questions and a few bonus ones from you! Here we go…
Casual Valentine’s Day Outfit
I love Valentine’s Day. I remember growing up that we always received candy and a small gift from my parents on Valentine’s Day morning and my siblings and I always enjoyed picking out our Valentine’s Day cards to pass out to our classmates and friends. We would decorate little brown bags and each child would receive a Valentine from all of their classmates. It was something I always looked forward to. Do kids still do that at school? I sure hope so!

Why Everyone Should Own Monochrome
The word monochrome itself refers to black and white photographs, but I have always been a huge fan of black white and gray clothing. Just take a peak into my closet! Most of my wardrobe consists of earth tones and monochrome with a few flairs of color mixed in. It has been really cold here the last couple of days. In fact, I couldn’t keep my eyes from watering while taking these photos. haha I am really wishing I had some gloves, but I do live in Alabama, so January is basically the only month I would ever wear them.
