Memorial Weekend was so busy for us, a good busy. We had an amazing weekend. Hampton and I had a play date with a dear friend of mine and her baby boy who is one month older than Hamp. We had the opportunity to catch up and the boys had a blast.

We drove to Dothan on Friday night to my cousin’s graduation. It is that time of year, graduations, weddings and birthday parties galore. We are so proud of her! She is the tenth and last grandchild in our family to graduate from high school.

Saturday we attended a crawfish boil. It was a lot of fun. I skipped the crawfish part because I just can’t seem to eat my food when I see it crawling around before it’s cooked. Gross. We enjoyed the pool for a while. It was Hampton’s first time in the pool. He loved it…for a while and then got tired.

Don’t you love his socks? That’s America, folks!

Sunday we took a break from festivities and I caught up on some housework. Laundry is so much fun!

Monday we had pizza and laid by the pool all day. We played dominoes with my family for a while that night. I spent some much-needed time with my family and saw great friends as well. It was the perfect holiday weekend.

I went to the beach for my cousin’s Bachelorette party this past weekend. When you put us together, there is nothing but fun and good memories in the making. Although it rained most of the weekend, we did get a little beach time in. We shopped till we dropped and ate…and ate and ate.

Once we got to PCB, we went straight to Margaritaville, wore funny balloon hats (I didn’t get a picture of myself, darn) and got our Parrotheads on. I also enjoyed a Cheeseburger in Paradise that was as good as always.

In PCB there were too many crop tops. Too. Many. Old women, young women, pregnant women, old men, dogs, every store we darkened were covered in crop tops. It was interesting. Lucky for you, I didn’t capture that part of our trip on camera.
Saturday we ate a late breakfast at Another Broken Egg and then back to the beach. Saturday night, we crowned the bachelorette and went to Boars Head for the most delicious dinner I’ve had in a long time. That chicken was melt in your mouth delicious. Obviously. An older gentleman offered to be our stripper once we finished eating which we graciously declined, but wasn’t that nice of him?

On Sunday before we left, we realized we had to meet someone to pick up 200 Mason jars for Zana’s wedding. After we had already packed our car with our bazillion bags. So this happened…
…and we were carrying luggage in our laps on the way home. Good times.
We watched tons of Glozell videos, laughed, made fools of ourselves, gained a few pounds and made incredible memories. I am so blessed to have these girls as cousins and best friends. I can’t believe Zana’s wedding is only 3 weeks away and I’m so blessed to stand beside her as she stood with me on my day. She has become a beautiful woman and is marrying a pretty fantastic guy. #FtoA2014

Ryan and I have been so blessed with an amazing church family, family and friends. We have been so overwhelmed by their support, prayers and beautiful gifts over the past few months. Our little boy is already so blessed and has more clothes than I do. Our first shower was held in our church building and honored us and 3 other couples. It was a very special night.

My family threw our second shower and was held at my parent’s house. It was so nice and everything was decorated in a “fall baby” theme. My family definitely gets my obsession with fall. It is so fitting that I am having a little pumpkin baby. I was reunited with some very close friends that I haven’t seen in a while and it was so much fun!

Silly friends!

My cousin actually had her baby 4 days after this picture was taken! We are so excited to welcome Natalie to our growing family!

I’ll post about our third shower once I get some photos back from it. 🙂

I’m not really sure why, but the strangest thing happened the other day. Everyone kept telling me I was “a quarter of a century.” I’m not really sure what they are talking about because I’m only eighteen and fresh out of high school, right? Where on earth did the time go? Why do I feel eighteen but look twenty-five? Holy cow!

My family and friends spoiled me with a dinner to Tomatinos, cookie cake, and beautiful gifts. I told Ryan that all I wanted for my birthday this year was a cookie cake and dinner to Olive Garden. He gave me the hot date and cake, but also surprised me with diamond earrings! I did not see that one coming at all! It was so sweet and thoughtful. I still can’t get over it. I am a very blessed girl. Thank you, Lord for a wonderful 25 years.

This past weekend we had the pleasure of attending my sweet friend’s wedding. It just so happened to be at the same venue as our wedding almost 2 years ago. It was our first time going back since our wedding and it brought back so many wonderful memories. We ate, danced, ate some more and rejoiced with this wonderful couple. Something that really stood out to me was the fact that they served milk with their cake. I thought that was a wonderful idea. I’m sure it has nothing to do with the fact that I have been going through 2 gallons of milk a week during this pregnancy. Cheers to a beautiful wedding and a happily married couple.

This past weekend was amazing. My best friend since kindergarten had her first baby! Baby B is the most precious thing I’ve ever laid eyes on (other than my nephews of course). It is so hard to believe that he is finally here. I can’t get enough of him and those bright blue eyes. I met him about 2 hours after he was born and he was so wide eyed. I’ve never seen a newborn that awake so soon after birth. Congratulations to my beautiful friend and her husband! I’m so happy for them.

On Saturday, we had a huge yard sale at our house. It was a huge help in getting us to clean out our house to help make room for baby Cantrell. We are turning our office into the nursery because we felt that it was best to keep the guest room since we have people come stay with us often. The yard sale was a success and the extra $300 made it well worth it. Later that afternoon, we spent some time at Ryan’s uncle’s farm with his family. It is always good to see all of them. My oldest nephew is walking now and it is probably the cutest thing I’ve seen in a while. He is everywhere!

Sunday after church, we headed to Dothan (south Alabama) for my cousin’s baby shower. She is the cutest pregnant girl I’ve ever seen. She is very petite and all belly. She is due in May and I can’t wait to meet baby G! He is going to be very spoiled for sure. Alesha received some wonderful gifts.

God is so good. I can’t thank Him enough for this weekend full of blessings.

Hello loves! This past weekend, Ryan and I traveled to Huntsville (north Alabama) for our good friend’s wedding. Ryan was a groomsman and looked pretty smokin’ hot if I do say so myself.

It was such a wonderful day getting to watch two friends say their vows in front of loved ones. It was very emotional and one of the sweetest weddings I’ve ever been to. We were able to spend time with friends we have not seen in a while which was nice.

Just before the wedding began, I received a phone call from my cousin (who is more like a sister) with some pretty exciting news! Zana is engaged!!! Her and Landon have been together for nearly 5 years, so it is about time he put a ring on it! I am so proud and absolutely thrilled for them!

On Sunday, I attended my best friend’s baby shower. She is due in less than 4 weeks now! I can’t wait to meet that sweet baby!

Needless to say, this weekend was filled with love, excitement, family and friends. What a blessing to be surrounded by such encouraging people.

Most Sundays, we host life group at our house. If you don’t know what a life group is, it’s basically small group for church. Ryan leads our life group with our good friend Jonathan. This past Sunday, instead of doing the normal lesson plan, we threw a mini Super Bowl party instead. We thought this would be a good way to socialize and get to know each other a little more. We had such a great time and I’m pretty sure I went over my diet by about 2000 calories, but it was so nice being able to fellowship with other young-married christians.

I wasn’t too impressed with the Super Bowl commercials this year. I thought the Doritos commercials were probably the best ones that I saw. Other than that, I found the majority either pointless or gross. We had a debate over the Calvin Klein commercial with the half naked guy posing for ten minutes in front of all the men watching the game. Marketing fail. All the guys thought it was awkward and gross, so they decided they would not buy Calvin’s. I thought Beyonce did an okay job. In my opinion, she should have focused more on her singing than dancing. After all, her voice is what made her famous, not her jirates. I haven’t been really impressed with the halftime shows the last few years now. Aerosmith was the last one that I actually enjoyed but the Janet thing happened and well, of course that’s all people talked about.

What did you think of the superbowl? Which commercials were your favorite?
