It has been nothing but crickets around here and I honestly can’t believe I took so much time away from writing in this space, however, it was very needed. I cleaned out my entire house, spent a lot of time with my babies, went on a beach trip with Ryan and really just got caught up and organized in my personal life which has been neglected for a while and desperately needed to get done. So, while I was taking time away from the blog, I was most definitely working on our home. haha This week, my babies went back to school and I might have teared up a little bit. I’m sure the waterworks will come more next year, but for now, I have a preschooler! The time has flown! How did my baby get to be so big?
Our Family Vacation
We went on our last family vacation of Summer last week. So bittersweet. We went to my grandparent’s house in Jacksonville again because we did not get to do everything we wanted to last time we were there. Unfortunately, it rained nearly every day we were there again this trip, but we still had a lot of fun. We went to a family member’s neighborhood pool where they have the best kid pool. My kid’s had a ball there. We also went back to the awesome park with a splash pad that day and they had so much fun. Man, it’s good to be a kid, isn’t it? I totally took it for granted.
McWane Center Birmingham Alabama
This weekend, we went to south Alabama to celebrate my aunt’s big birthday! I videoed the big surprise on my insta-stories. It was in a beautiful barn and was such a gorgeous set-up. It was truly a beautiful escape for the evening and the kids enjoyed running around with their cousins. On Saturday, we got up and drove to Birmingham to take the kids to the McWane Center. It was a big surprise for the kiddos because they have never been, but I’ve been wanting to take them for months. There is a big dinosaur exhibit there now and Hamp has a huge fascination with dinosaurs, so it was pretty perfect for him!

Father’s Day Weekend
Ryan, you are our rock. Our encourager, our provider, our spiritual leader, our protector. I have to pinch myself every day that God chose me to be your wife. I feel incredibly blessed to be your partner in crime. We have the most beautiful babies who absolutely adore you. They miss you terribly when you are gone and get so excited when you come back home to us. They love their story time with dad and to run and flip over you. I love to watch the little boy come out in you when you are playing with them and laughing hysterically. Your bond with our baby girl is the sweetest relationship that I have had a front row seat to and it is just beautiful. Your boys admire you and look at you like they’re staring at superman himself. Your unwavering faith in our Lord during the good times and bad is something I am constantly striving to achieve and you are so faithful, supportive and encouraging to me. You have unconditional love for us. We are so grateful and thankful for you. Thank you for being our husband and father. We love you! Happy Father’s Day!
Jacksonville Beach Florida Trip
After spending nearly two weeks indoors due to rain, we went to my grandparent’s house in Jacksonville Beach! They live about five minutes from the beach and we absolutely love the city, so going down there is always such a treat. There are countless things to do with the kids and that makes it fun for our whole family. We already have another trip planned in July and have a list of new things to do and places to explore.
Memorial Day Weekend
Happy…Tuesday. I have had to think about what day it is all morning. Does anyone else get super thrown off after a long weekend? I hope y’all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend with your loved ones and spent some time remembering those who have given up their lives for our freedom. Our weekend was spent with close friends that we do not get to see very often which was the highlight of our week, and spent with family! It was a great time together and we were continuously reminded of our blessings.

How to Teach Your Child To Swim
This post was sponsored by SwimWays as part of an Amabssador Program for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.
Because we are a family who loves the water, it is important to us that our kids learn how to swim at a young age. We have a neighborhood pool that we use often and we have family who lives at the beach that we love to visit throughout the summer months. In fact, we have a trip coming up very soon! Because we want to make sure to keep our kids stay safe near the water, it is important to us that we have done our job educating our kids about water safety and have the proper floats. When you teach your child to swim, it is important to know the proper techniques, and information on the latest safety tips and floats.

How to Handle Tantrums in a Positive Way
My third baby is almost 18 months old and has already started having tantrums. I remember this time with my older two. They literally go from being a sweet cuddly baby to throwing fits over night and you try to figure out what went wrong, but here is the truth: it is developmental. All kids go through it and it is part of how they learn. They are not good at controlling their emotions at this age and throwing fits is part of how they communicate to you. The good news is that you are not alone, and there are a few things you can do to help avoid tantrums and diffuse them in the moment.
Easter Weekend
Happy Monday, friends! It’s been a while since I did a little life update, so I thought today would be appropriate after our big Easter weekend! Our weekends seem to be filling up these days. I can still remember when we looked forward to the weekends because we could rest, hang out with friends, catch up on cleaning, etc. Now, I feel like our weekends are busier than our weeks. Catch up on laundry? That’s a thing of the past. BUT… these little babes of mine make it all worth it! Our Easter weekend was no exception. We had so much going on, but it was all so good and honestly, I just feel so beyond blessed to get to spend my life with these babies and my best friend! It’s always good even when it’s not. You know what I mean?
