A Winter Self Care Routine That Will Leave You Renewed

A Winter Self Care Routine That Will Leave You Renewed

If you’ve been around here for a while, you know I am a huge advocate of self-care, especially sincee becoming a mother. After my first baby, I simply had a hard time making time for myself because I worked so hard to get him and wanted to be with him 24/7. After my second came long, I started to realize – very quickly – that I better start taking care of myself if I want to be my best for them. Which, obviously, I do. Establishing a good self care routine is so important no matter what phase of life you are in. I want to encourage you to do something for yourself every single day. Whether that is going for a run, taking a shower and doing your hair, allowing yourself some time to binge watch Netflix after the kids go to bed – whatever works for you!

Pore Strips

I do several things for self-care throughout the year, but today I wanted to focus on my winter self-care routine. I do this all in the evening after the kids go to bed because my babies are still young and go to bed around 7p.m., so that gives me time for myself in the evenings.

Winter Self Care Routine:

First I normally take a bath to wash the day off of me and get nice and clean before bed.

Biore Skincare with Witch Hazel

Second, I wash my face and use my Biore’® PORE Clarifying toner with Witch Hazel! I have always struggled with having large pores on my nose and cheeks, so this helps to restore my skin’s balance and clean any residue my ash wash might have missed. Witch Hazel is known for tightening and purifying pores. My grandmother has been using this ingredient forever and I have tried it in many forms over the years. It really works wonders!

Cure for Breakouts

Next, I use my Biore’® Witch Hazel Ultra Deep Cleansing Pore Strips! I love these because unlike other pore strips, Bioré® Witch Hazel Ultra Deep Cleansing Pore Strips use a blend of C-bond technology to safely remove dirt, oil, and blackheads acting as a super magnet lifting out deep down dirt and blackheads. These are dermatologist tested and trusted!

Last, I moisturize my face and then crawl in bed early! Every once in a while, I like to give myself an early bed time for extra sleep that is normally very needed. I try to do this about once a week or as often as I can to feel well-rested.

Easy Skincare Routine

Doing this in the evenings makes me feel so clean, renewed and rejuvenated for the next day. I’ve always said that my days start the night before, and it is a very true statement for me. A lot of how productive my day will be depends on how productive my night was before. This self care routine helps me feel ready to take on the rest of my week!
