I am technically 28 weeks and officially in my third trimester now, but I wanted to give you guys a second trimester update before I get too much further along. Can we talk about how great I have been at these bump dates this time around? Eye roll. Sorry about that, guys. Now that all of the excitement from my sister’s wedding is over and the kids are back in school, I am hoping to kick some of my goals into gear starting with setting work hours and getting more content out for you.
First off, they always tell you that you feel great in your second trimester. This is true for probably most people, but I have been pretty sick until around 24 or 25 weeks this time around. This pregnancy has been challenging for that reason, but I am finally feeling better…just in time for my third trimester! Ha! I have been a lot more sick with all of my boys than I was with Sophie. I think I threw up one time with her and after one bad week, I was fine. My boys have been a little bit harder on me.
Over the last couple of weeks, I have had my glucose test (and passed) and baby is looking really good! My appointments are every two weeks now and I am really looking forward to our next ultrasound to see if baby has turned (prayers, please)! I also can’t wait to see his sweet little face! A few mornings ago, Sophie crawled in bed with us and se touched my belly and told me she just wants to see what his nose and eyes and hair looks like. haha I can’t wait, either!
While we have not done the first thing for this sweet babe, we are so excited to meet him. We are slowly moving things around in our house to prepare for him, but I gave myself this month to get organized, clean out and clean up our home, so I probably won’t get a lot done for baby until February. I always enjoy taking a little breather after the holiday rush to slow down, regroup and reorganize everything. January is the perfect time to do that!
Here are some of my favorites during the second trimester:
