I’m going to be really honest with y’all. After having Weston, I have tried to start working out again many, many times and it normally only lasts a week or two. Having our third child really turned out world upside down. Finding the time to workout is something I have struggled with for the last year and a half. It’s been hard because I couldn’t work out during the second half of my pregnancy due to complications, and we all know how fast you can lose the ability to run. My babies wake up at 5a.m. and have for a couple of years now. Waking up at 4a.m. to work out is not going to happen. Let’s be real.
But this 8 Minute Workout is seriously a game changer!
In the past year, whenever I have tried to do any workout videos or jump on the elliptical, the babies come running and they are all of a sudden starving, or want me to hold them. Moms, you know what I’m talking about. I love the 8 Minute Workout by Elev8d Fitness because it is low-intensity – meaning they don’t tire me out for the day. They are also easy and quick to do, so my kids don’t normally interrupt, or they join in with me!
What you need to know about the 8 Minute workout:
These are total body workouts in 8 minutes. They are low intensity workouts which are perfect for tired moms. This is an online workout program through Elev8d Fitness that is functional. The LIIT exercises are the best anywhere, anytime fitness because they work muscles in your body that weight training and long distance running do not. These workouts focus on 8 functional total body movements that help you in every day life. These are the muscles you use to prevent an injury when you slip in a puddle or when you are picking up your children. They are muscles you need for stability and in order for your body to function properly.
I have terrible posture because I have carried or breastfed for the last 5 years of my life and I also work on the computer a lot. These things have created poor posture and I am excited to continue these exercises to help with that. Adding these new movements to your workout routine can help prevent burnout if you are used to going to the gym every day. It also works other muscles so that you are getting a full-body workout rather than a partial one. I also love that under every work out there are videos and written instructions on how to perform each move properly. It is very helpful with the exercises that are new to my routine.
