CARE for Girl’s Education by Sending Hope

October 1, 2016

I wrote a post a while back about CARE and I love the help and message they send to people. If you are not familiar, CARE is a global humanitarian organization that fights poverty by empowering women and children through education and by giving them hope. They put women and girls first because they know that they cannot overcome poverty until we have reached social justice and equality. CARE provides clean water to people who need it all over the globe as well as education for girls and many other things. They know that change happens through people, and that is where you and I come in.

CARE

Why girls? Over 31 million girls who should be in primary school aren’t. In Guatemala, poverty, hunger, child marriage, poor education and healthcare are extreme. Through donations, CARE was able to bring an after-school program to Guatemala. They are inspiring confidence and creating a great education for these girls. Just one year in school can increase a woman’s earnings in her lifetime and prevent early-motherhood.

CARE letters of hope

When asked how CARE donations would help Mary, she said it would help her because sometime she lacks school fees. She also said it would help her in her dream of becoming a journalist! When I asked my son what he wanted to be at the beginning of the school year, he said a doctor. He is only two, but it warms my heart to hear about his dreams. It also struck method he will never (Lord-willing) have to worry about his school fees and this young girl thinks about it and is faced with it every day. It makes me so sad.

Join me and CARE by sending letters of hope and encouragement to inspire students to follow their dreams all around the world! Learn more here!
