I feel like things have been really crazy over here lately. With Ryan traveling so much this month, building a new house, Hampton starting school, lots of work-related opportunities and two toddlers, you could say we have been pretty busy. It’s been a great month and I honestly can’t believe it is over already. If September goes by as fast as August, I may be in trouble. We have so much to do to get ready for baby boy and in such a short amount of time. The anxiety is definitely back. I’m 30 weeks along now and physically, feeling more ready every day to have this baby. My doctor warned me that the round ligament pain would be much worse this time, and she was right. Ouch. Carrying two toddlers around isn’t helping a lot either. Plus, we are just getting excited to meet our new little boy!

I think a lot of the anxiety comes with knowing we will be moving the week I am due. I am beyond excited and ready to get in our new house. We stopped by last Friday to check on the progress and it is really coming along. They were starting to put up the dry-wall which was awesome! I can really see a huge difference from the last time we were out there. We have bath tubs and part of a fireplace, too! So, basically, we are ready to move in. 😉 I can already imagine all of the memories we will make in this new house. While we had to make a few compromises, I think it will be a good fit for us. I am most excited about all of the natural light we will have. I love that light and airy feel and am so excited that this house will be more my taste.
We had a fun and semi-relaxing weekend which was definitely needed. Other than staying up late to get some kids clothes ready for our upcoming consignment sale, it was pretty chill. If you caught my Instagram post, we spent very little time outside because it was so hot, but we enjoyed some evening walks and lots of cuddles.
Hampton loved his new school and has not quit talking about it! I am so happy he is loving it. He has even used the potty a couple of times since school started, so I think seeing the other kids using the toilet has definitely helped. Hopefully, we won’t have three in diapers. Sigh.
Sophie also started opening doors this weekend, so that has been a game-changer, if you know what I mean. Yep, things are getting really fun over here! This season definitely has it’s challenges, but I am soaking up the good and fun moments and enjoying everything I can. I read an article the other day talking about how this is the phase of life that kids actually let you cuddle and hold them. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. That makes me so incredibly sad to think about, so I am definitely soaking in those moments with my babies. Even on the tough days.
So, for now I’m going to snuggle my kiddos and enjoy the two of them before there are three. And mamas, if you have ANY tips or advice on moving with a newborn, please fill me in!
