Last year, we took Hamp to see Thomas the Train in Calera, Alabama and he loved it! Unfortunately it ended badly and we later found out he had hand foot and mouth and we really should not have had him out in the sun that day. #parentingfail This year was a million times better because we had no sick kids and with Hampton being a year older, I felt like he enjoyed it so much more!
I love how excited Ryan’s face is in this picture. I’m not sure if he was more excited to see Thomas the Train or if Hamp was. Sophie had a great time and really enjoyed herself, too! She loves to people watch (like her momma) and so she was in hog heaven!
Riding Thomas was a little bit more of a challenge because the kids had to sit in our laps and they were both wanting to run/crawl around, but I was able to snap a quick pic of them being still for 2 seconds!
All in all, it was a great day and the kids were wonderful! That always makes things so much more enjoyable! Trust me, it’s not always that easy. Most of our outings end in someone screaming, but this one ended in two very tired kids who took a great nap on the way home! Peace!

My nephew (Thomas) loved Thomas the Train as a kid. It’s amazing how much kids identify with these characters. It looked like it was an amazing family day!
