Easter Dress Ideas

March 23, 2016

I’m getting so excited for Easter weekend! Not only does Ryan get half a day off, but I love seeing all of our family and spending time with the ones I love most! I’m really looking forward to celebrating this special holiday with Sophie since this will be her first Easter. Oh, and the best part? Her first little easter dress!

I love reading the story of Jesus to our kids and I love that Hampton’s favorite book right now is his “Bible.” I put it in parenthises because it is a children’s story book version of a bible, but it makes this momma’s heart extra happy that he enjoys these stories so much.

My other favorite part about Easter is that it is the first official kick off to spring! I love seeing everyone’s special Easter dresses at church. All of the flowers blooming this time of year makes me excited for the warm months ahead. I’ve pretty much decided that since I waited until the last minute, I won’t buy a “new dress” for Easter this year. I know exactly the perfect dress that I will be wearing and, of course, it won’t come as a surprise to my sister that it is my favorite Lilly Pulitzer dress. Although it isn’t brand new, I have only worn it a couple of times and it is just so easter-y, don’t you think?

If you’re like me and don’t have a clue what to buy or you are shopping in your closet for the perfect easter dress to wear this year, check out a few of these ideas to help get you started:

Personally, I like to wear a dress that is colorful or white. Leave the beige at home. We’ve been wearing neutrals all fall and winter, so now is the time to bring back the color!

Oh my gosh! Thanks for this resource – it’s much needed right now. I somehow managed to get my husband a new Easter tie, my baby a new outfit, but overlooked myself. Haha.

You sound like me! I bought my daughter’s outfit last year before she was even born when the smocked Easter outfits went on sale. haha

I love the first two on top. I keep forgetting it’s Easter. It seemed like such a big event growning up but now not as much the dressing up. i don’t know where i’ll be. But I love the blue green dress!

I do, too! I totally get what you mean. Now that we have kids, though, it is a big deal again. I guess you go through phases of life…

I love the striped one! I didn’t shop this year because we have a wedding the day before. I know we’ll all be pooped and I won’t want to dress up!

I love that you are sharing those stories with your kids, it’s so important to pass them down. I love the two last dresses! What did you wear?
