This year, it rained most of the day on Easter, so we scheduled our egg hunt for Saturday! It was so laid back and nice. We had a huge shrimp boil and ate outside after the kids finished hunting eggs and our hearts and bellies were very happy.
On Sunday, we woke up to baskets full of goodies from Peter Cottontail and then attended church. We had a very laid back afternoon and ate lots of food while enjoying time with our loved ones. I love holidays because it is a time for family to come together and enjoy laughter and quality time together – which is my love language, so maybe that’s why I love being with everyone!
Sophie’s first Easter was a success, but I must say that this year was so much fun with Hampton! He really enjoyed hunting eggs and was so excited over his basket and the fact that the easter bunny really came to see him! It was pretty cute! Sophie was more interested in his basket than her own. I guess she prefers Batman to Cinderella. What can you do?
Happy Easter to my little bunnies! I hope you had a blessed easter as well and celebrated the fact that Christ is RISEN!

That sounds like a fun Easter, and I love that picture of your adorable kids in the grass with their baskets! My son is 2 and this year Easter was a lot of fun–now that he’s starting to “get it” more 🙂
