We celebrated Valentine’s Day on Monday night. The night of the monsoon, I’ll call it (since my super casual outfit if you follow me on Snapchat). Of course, the one night we go on a date (our first one in close to 2 months) it would be terrible weather. We were under a tornado warning up until 30 minutes before we left the house. Fortunately, my husband and I just laughed about it and went anyway. We had dinner at a Hibachi/Sushi place in town and then went to Books A Million. Why do all of our dates end there? Does that make us nerds? haha I think it is just nice to go look at books when the kids aren’t with us. That is the one place I will not take them with me. Why? Well, I did once and let’s just say we were there forever picking up books off the floor and putting them back on the shelf.
It was so nice to get out of the house for a bit – just the two of us and talk and spend quality time with one another. Quality time is my love language after all. This is the outfit I actually wore on Valentine’s Day to church. I found this blush top online at Nordstrom (they are having their big winter clearance sale) and had a fit over it! It is 3/4 sleeves so it will be a great top to wear through spring.

Super cute. Love the booties!! We didn’t do anything crazy on Valentine’s – we just had some close friends over and cooked out while the boys played around outside. 🙂

This outfit is gorgeous!! Love blush anything, and such a great combo with the gray pants! Also love the little bit of edge that the leather jacket and fringe boots add. Also, we like to hit up Barnes and Noble for our date nights 😉 Something about a bookstore – maybe because it’s so peaceful!
