If you haven’t noticed by now, I have about 10,000 nicknames for my kids. Nugget, squirt, angel, Hampster (for Hamp) and Lovebug for Sophie. The list goes on and on, really. It’s getting out of control. So, when I stumbled on this little slouchy top I knew I had to grab it up or Soph. It was just too cute to pass up! She is after all, my little lovebug.

Yesterday, Ryan had the day off and so we enjoyed some more family time. He travels a lot, so it is nice when we have weeks where we can spend more time together. Hampton especially enjoys it. He loves his daddy so much! We decided to pack a lunch and go out to the park. Lately, Hampton has been all about the park. He loves to slide. This time, Sophie also really enjoyed it! She was laughing and had so much fun. The park that we go to has a baby swing, so she even got to swing for the first time! We ended up having to leave once the wind started blowing pretty hard. Out of nowhere, Hamp started freaking out and crying over the wind and leaves blowing everywhere. It was pretty hard wind, but he has never paid much attention to storms, so it was out of character for him. I guess he has good intuition because a little while later, tornado sirens went off. Gorgeous weather to scary weather in no time flat.
For the last couple of weeks, we have really been hit with a lot of trials – my family as well as extended family. Hampton has developed fears through all of this and I’m sure my panic off and on has contributed to that a little. It breaks my heart and woke me up to the fact that he is really watching everything we do. If his mother is scared, he will be afraid, too. So, bold and courageous momma bear is coming out. No wind is going to get my little guy. haha
I love my little love bugs so much and they are the biggest reason I look forward to getting up in the morning. They are the reason I keep going. They are my everything. They are so precious and I am blessed by them. I see God in their little faces. That is where the good is. That is the sweet spot in life. I am soaking it all up.

Such a cutie! I have so many names for my daughter, I’m wondering which ones will stick as she gets older. My main one is BabyCakes.
