How to Avoid Embarrassing Moments as a Mom On The Go

February 23, 2016

Every Sunday morning seems to be extremely hectic. I’m not sure why, because we go out and about nearly every day and leave in the mornings for different errands, playdates and things. Why is it that Sundays are so crazy? Ryan and I are always rushing to get ourselves ready for church and our babies. We are normally not in the best of spirits and we (meaning me) often times forget so many things.

How to Avoid Embarrassing Moments As A Mom On The Go

Last Sunday I thought I had gotten completely ready and all of our kid’s things together. Once we got to church and dropped the kids off in the nursery, I realized that I had left Sophie’s paci at home. We were already a couple of minutes late and so I didn’t have time to run back home. Of course, they told me she had cried the entire time. I felt so bad because church time is normally her nap time and she can’t go to sleep without her paci. Once I sat down in church, I realized I had forgotten to put on antiperspirant. I can’t tell you how embarrassed I was. Luckily, it was freezing in there, so I was fine until I got home, but you know how you feel like everyone can all of a sudden smell you? I felt so awkward and didn’t feel put together at all. I definitely learned my lesson and made a list (because I’m extremely type A) of what to do to avoid these embarrassing little moments as a mother on the go:

Dove Antiperspirant

Take Care Of Yourself:

  • Wake up a few minutes earlier than normal.
  • Take the time to shower
  • Put on Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant to avoid embarrassing odors.
  • Brush your teeth
  • Fix your hair
  • Dress nice.
  • Put on make-up.
  • Don’t forget to accessorize.
  • Exercise regularly
  • Eat healthy

Plan Ahead For Kids

Plan Ahead For The Kids

  • Pack plenty of snacks.
  • Make sure to pack extra diapers, wipes, packs, bottles, etc.
  • Bring along some favorite toys for the car rides or to help calm them down when they get upset.

Avoid Embarrassing Moments

I ran some errands over the weekend and grabbed a few things we needed including the NEW Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant. I am so excited to be partnering with Dove to try out their new Dove Original Clean Dry Spray Antiperspirant and Dove Soothing Chamomile Dry Spray Antiperspirant! The thing I loved most about these spray-on antiperspirant goes on clear and dry keeping me confident and fresh smelling all day. That’s a big deal for me because I am extremely active during the day. Between working out, chasing the kids around, working, cleaning, etc., I need an antiperspirant that lasts all day. This antiperspirant gets me through the day and then some. It leaves no visible residue and provides 48 hours of odor and wetness protection. With Dove 1/4 moisturizers in these new antiperspirants, they keep my underarms soft and smooth. This is the latest beauty trend you definitely want to jump on! Go to Dove.com/trydry to learn more. #TryDry

Such great tips for any busy woman. I’m not a mom but I know busy days go a little better if I make a effort to get up early and prepare for the day it does make a huge difference

We’re all such busy girls that even those of us without tiny ones often forget to bring along important things when we’re headed out the door. I love that you’ve shared a beauty product that you highly recommend. The next time I’m purchasing personal and beauty items I’ll reach for the Dove dry spray and give it a try!

Great tips for all moms! I’m the worst at keeping my bag packed of things we may need. I had to stop at target the other day for diapers because we were an hour away from home and had a pediatricians appointment! I’ll have to check out this dry antiperspirant. I’ve always used roll-on.
