Aztec Summer + Stitch Fix

May 13, 2014

I am obsessed with aztec print. I loved it for fall and winter, and guess what? Apparently it’s in for spring and summer this year! I learned about stitch fix through several other bloggers and my eyes got really wide and I signed up immediately. The waiting list was long at the time and so I just got my first fix in the mail a few days ago. I kept this tank top but returned the other items.

Tank top: Stitch Fix: Daniel Rainn // Shorts: Target // Sandals: Old: Similar

So what did I think?

Pros:
I was very impressed with my first stitch fix box. The clothes fit me perfectly and they were exactly my style. I couldn’t have been happier with the choices they picked for me.

Cons:
The prices. I wasn’t expecting everything to be so expensive. If I bought all of the items, I could pay $219.00 but if I bought them individually or just two, etc. it was much more expensive. All of the items added individually were $318.00…so that’s how they get you. I didn’t want all of the items in my fix, so it was a bit of an expense to purchase the tank by itself, but I didn’t want my $20 processing fee to be wasted, so I paid the difference anyway.

I was pretty disappointed in the prices and probably won’t be doing it again. Although I loved the clothes, I just don’t want to spend that much money on a box of clothing every month. Maybe I’m cheap? I don’t know. I just don’t like spending much on my clothes. I mean, after all I am a girl and the styles change so much every year. I don’t want to invest a ton of money in something I may only wear one season.

Linking up here and here.

Have you tried Stitch Fix? What are your thoughts? How much do you spend on clothing each month?

StitchFix sounds dangerously addicting lol, but I wouldn't be able to handle those prices either. The top is super cute, though! And so is your little man! =)

It IS really cute, but like you said, a little on the pricey side! I'm really glad I read your review of it so I'd know how they operate. CUTE pictures! 🙂

Your outfit is totally cute! I love it! I feel like you do though, I wouldn't want to pay that much for an outfit every month. I can do better on my own picking out a piece here and there for a LOT less!

That tank is very cute! Love the print. I read another review of Stitch Fix recently and although the thought of clothes being picked out just for you and sent to your home, excites me, neither review expressed it being affordable. You're not cheap. You are a rational person. 🙂

Never tried stitch before but I agree it's a bit expensive. I don't spend that much on my clothes x

I love aztec on YOU…me, not so much. I feel like it makes me more ethnic looking – lol hard to explain. And I've heard stitchfix is great if you have money…the downer for me is that they don't carry larger sizes:(

Super cute tank – I've heard of it but I know I would spend far too much money, must avoid!

Such a cute tank, but a bummer about how the program runs : / It would be nice to be able to pick and choose at discounted price.

That is the exact reason why I have not signed up – I am afraid I am going to like all of the pieces or be guilt tripped into buying them. I definitely do not spend that much on clothes per month!

I'm dying over all these aztec prints I've been seeing lately. And nope, I'm on a small college budget, I can't afford that many clothes every month. Maybe when I graduate, if they're still around.

I love the idea of Stitch Fix but not the price tag so with that, I haven't looked too much into it. I would hate to get a great box with fun pieces I "couldn't live without" and then have to part with them.

Girl, I don't think your cheap at all, you just like a good deal! I'm not a big fan of Stitch Fix, namely because I love picking out my own clothes- like, I'm obsessed with it! haha and don't trust others to do it for me 😉 But also because of the prices! I'm right there with you. That being said, this top is super cute and looks FANTASTIC on you!!! <3

I've tried something similar to Stitch Fix but a different company. Love it.

Cute top! I haven't tried Stitch Fix yet because I'm afraid I'd want to keep everything…
