I'm going to have to look into the The Shoe Maker's Wife. I love reading but sadly have been very behind on reading anything lately, but blogs.

Perhaps your blog will give me the kick in the rear that I need to get back to it!

I really tried to read the valentine books by Trigiani but I guess the mood just wasn't right! They are there ready and waiting for when it is the right time! How was The Shoemaker's Wife?
I have also had my eye on the Forgotten Garden I hope you enjoy it.

Have a great reading week 😀

I've not come across those books before, as I mainly read YA with others sprinkled into the mix as and when 🙂

It was a few years ago that I read it but I really liked The Forgotten Garden. I read her earlier novel, The House at Riverton, too and enjoyed it. I haven't got round to reading The Distant Hours yet but do keep meaning to!

I was reading "Two Caravans" by Marina Lewycka. It's a story about immigrants and what sort of troubles and joys some of them might face. It is both tragic, and funny. At some points, quite horrid too!
